Birds chirped as the sky began to set into a variety of colors, the sun seemingly emanating the beauty of it all; the wind gushed wisterias and trees, leaves flowing from one direction to another. The sweet addition of chai calmed their nerves, the old lady reading the newspapers while a certain straw-hatted rookie was babbling about such nonsense.

Old lady Gloriosa began muttering, "Is that so? " Curiosity at it's peak. Her limbs numb from action, tightening her grip at the mentions of an execution. Luffy cocked a brow, diminishing the itching pain from the bandages. He drank his chai, carefully examining the old lady, which was unusual of him to do so.

His loud mouthed presence was absent, causing Gloriosa to raise her head at the unique lack of blabbering, considering the straw hatted captain was quite the loud type. Everything quietened as Luffy still kept his D smile intact, the old lady seems nervous... I wonder what she's thinking about!

He murmured, tapping his jaw in curiosity once Gloriosa began reading the article. He gritted his teeth, distracting himself from the discomfort. The air was tense, quiet and peaceful all at once, however he feels his heart race. Uncomfortably. As if he's gonna hear something he isn't supposed to. Was this what they called observation haki? Eh, whatever. It's not like it matters anyway, he has to set sail and gather his crew. It was mainly more of a undiscussed objective. Knowing it was disrespectful to disturb such peace, he left it, words unable to roll from his tongue.

Manners- or what Nami calls it, she says he really needs to learn the basics, but it's boring, yet he still listened at the part considering the elderly. The elderly were nice people, or maybe the only elderly he ever met were nice. It doesn't really matter at the moment, but he might as well, right?

She spoke so suddenly. "Are you alright, dear? " Her voice was consistently soft and aware, he shrugged, nodding at his criss crossed position, sipping the chai once more, impatient. She tilted her head, squeezing her eyes at the obvious gleam of curiosity. Good to know, she scoffed lightheartedly.

"You must be wondering about the news? Aren't you, hun? " She chuckled dryly, a flavorless emotion succumbed into her voice as Luffy took a small glance at the paper, trying to go unnoticed.

She coughed, clearing her voice. "It seems that the seven warlords are teaming up with the navy headquarters to defeat the whitebeard pirates once and for all, and as far as I'm aware- " Gloriosa stopped at the sudden tensity in the air, strained from her thoughts from the uneven breathing across her. Seeing the boy in panic, worry and despair. All three at once.

Gloriosa watched as luffy began acting feral, as if his darkest thoughts broke free from it's quarters. The joyous captain was not so giddy at the dawn of realization hitting him right in the face, whitebeard pirates, against both the seven warlords and the navy headquarters. As much as they were a large crew, handling two major threats was not so easy. Then his thoughts snap back to Ace.. ace, his brother. He's a whitebeard pirate wasn't he? Ever since their meeting at alabasta? Bullcrap, his inner peace snarls.

Cold blooded, his sanity sneers. He breathes in, trying to control the brewing anger. As much as it shocked him, the thought of looming death dangling from his brother was nauseous. He couldn't afford the death of his last brother. His older brother.

Sabo was the entire reason they kept close to each other, fearing the death of one another. He can't let that incident happen again because of the actions of the father burdening the son who has done nothing.

It took luffy months to diminish the darkness the gleamed in Ace's eyes, even he didn't cry because he knew Ace would too. He knew Ace had stayed up whenever he thought he was asleep, he knew Ace has eaten lesser and lesser that period of their life. Luffy has never seen such dawning depression hitting the pre teen.
