6. Room

"Ah! Mason! Did you get a ride here?" Dad asked.

"Yeah. Henry gave me a ride" I smiled.

"Kowasaki or car?" Benny asked.

"Kowasaki" I replied.

"Did you have fun? He likes to go fast on that thing" He smiled.

"Yeah. It was some what peaceful"

"Hey, Mason. Why don't you go get us more nails and screws? They're sitting on the kitchen counter" Dad smiled.

"Sure" I turned and headed down the stairs.

What I like about my room is that it's pretty much the attic. There is a door at the bottom of the stairs and it leads up to only one room. Mine. I looked around for the nails and screws but couldn't find them. He did say kitchen. Right?

"Dad! I don't see them!" I yelled.

I heard my dad's footsteps. "Really?"

"Yeah. They're not on the counter. Like you said" I replied.

"Hm. Benny, You, and I will have to head to the store then. Won't we?" He smiled.

"Sure. I guess" I frowned. I just got back. I don't want to go anywhere else.

"Benny!" Dad yelled. "We're heading to the store. C'mon!"

"On my way!" He yelled.

We piled into the truck and I had to sit in the middle because the genius behind the wheel bought a truck with no backseat. All the way there, which took 20 minutes, Benny and my dad where making small talk about what they're going to do after my room. They decided on the living room.

Where am I going to sleep tonight?

I sighed and watched the road, until we parked.  Benny got out first, and I followed. It turns out that this is the only Home Depot in our small ass town. But it's nice. It takes a bit to get into town but once you get there, you'll enjoy it.

"Welcome to Home Depot. Anything you need help finding today?" A nice, and sexy, man asked My dad.

"Yes, actually. What row is the nails and screws in?" Dad asked politely.

"Row 6" The man smiled back.

"Thanks"

And off we were, walking to the screws. I swear I felt someone looking at my ass though. Just shrug it off.

"Do you want any candy?" Dad asked at the checkout lane.

I nodded and put M&M's on the lane.

"Good choice" My dad smiled, putting Peanut M&M's down.

We're so much alike. I smiled.

Benny seemed to notice and also smiled. "I wish I had a relationship like tis with my kids. They're all so antisocial"

Wait. Henry.... antisocial?  Is that why they made me share a room with him? He doesn't seem very antisocial to me.

Dad smiled at Benny "It's okay. They'll fall through sometime. Mason did"

Benny smiled, also.

We got back into the car and headed home.

"Son. I don't think we'll be able to sleep in the house tonight. It might not get done" Dad frowned.

"It's okay" I smiled.

"We'll be spending another night at Benny's" He smiled.

Dying. "Okay" I can NOT spent another night with him! Remember what almost happened last time?

Benny smiled. "I'll let the kids know"

It's like they're trying to get me raped. I sighed.

We got back to our house and they walked inside.

I, on the other hand, went for a walk outside. The woods were nice and calm. I stayed out there till it got dark, and headed back.

"Mason? Where did you go?" Dad asked.

"I went for a walk" I smiled.

"Ok. Well it's time to go. Grab some new clothes and we'll be off. Benny already left"

I sighed. "Ok"

My dad and I grabbed some clothes from our dressers in the trailer and climbed into the truck.

I expected the car to move, but it didn't.

"Dad why aren't we moving?" I asked.

"Mason?" My dad looked at me.

"Yeah, Dad?"

"Are you.... gay?"

DUN DUN DUUUUNNNNN Lol. But just wait till the next chapter.

As I published this, Wattpad signed me out and said that my story was unavailable or something like that. So I got super worried and it wouldn't let me sign back in. But when it did, it erased half of the chapter. At least I remembered what I had wrote before. :P
