💕 Just Friends... Right? (Nuzi)

N was Uzi's best friend. She had never seen him as more. Well- she always told herself she didn't see him as more. It hurt her to lie and force herself not to think in a different perspective, but she just couldn't ruin their perfect friendship over a tiny little crush. It would break her.

She sat on the edge of her bed, kicking her feet as she looked around the room to find something to amuse herself with. She sighed, looking at the door. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to go for a little walk. Maybe that would clear her head and get her thoughts in order. She pushed herself off the bed and stretched before heading out.

As Uzi was heading out to door 1 she found herself walking straight towards Thad.

"Uzi!" Thad smiled, waving at her.

"Hi, Thad." Uzi responded, returning the wave.

"Where are you off to at an hour like this? You realize its super late right- and a weekend?" He asked her, looking up at the clock that stood above them.

"I'm going for a walk. Why? What are you doing?"

"Well-" Thad responded a little shyly, "Trying to find a way to tell the person I like that I do have feelings for them."

Uzi grinned, truly happy for him. "Aw! Thad! I really hope things go well for you."

Thad nodded and smiled back, "Well, I should probably get going, I'm sure you should too."

They said their goodbyes before parting and leaving to go their ways. Uzi surprisingly managed to get out of door 1 without raising any heads, or dragging the attention of her father. After outside she decided to hike towards the field. The bodies around her decreased as she made her way further towards the path, and she quickly took notice.

I guess it's probably because they were all killed off before they made it this far. Uzi thought to herself, I wonder where N is... Eh, he's probably at the pod with V. Uzi felt her heart swell when she thought of N and V together. There was another reason why she couldn't tell N she liked him. Because he liked V, and he had told her that right when they had met.

Uzi let out a long shaky sigh before she continued her hike. Soon there wasn't a single body laying around and it was just a lengthy and empty path with a few lamppost and benches here and there. She trotted down the path, taking in every sight she could find, (which wasn't much including its a dead frozen land). Soon she found herself standing in front of a wooden bench as se sat down and started fiddling with her fingers, trying to untangle her thoughts.

As she sat there wondering, she found herself thinking about Thad. I wonder who he was talking about when he told me that he likes somebody. Do I know them? Is it Lizzy? No... It can't be Lizzy, aren't they siblings? Well- I suppose nobody really knows... It's probably just a rumor. Ha! What if it were V? That would be hilarious.

Uzi found herself so deep in thought she didn't notice when a tall figure came up behind her and sat down on the bench next to her.

I wonder what Uzi is thinking about.

I sat down next to Uzi on the bench using the moment to gaze at her. She seemed to be wearing her everyday clothes, but was wearing a small silver necklace with a small purple half moon. I smiled at seeing her wearing it as I looked down as my small sun one.

Uzi, apparently was too deep into thought to notice I was reaching out a hand to try and hold hers. I gently placed my hand on top of hers, and that was when Uzi finally noticed and whipped around to look at me.
