Laila slowly woke up hearing chanting opening her eyes to seeing Evie in her nightgown chained to the stone table with the mummified body of Ank Su Namun surrounded by the priests of Imhotep doing the chant bowing their heads. She knew what was going on struggling to get the chains off her searching for anything to break free from them to help Evie. Laila then heard Evie scream once she saw what was lying next to her struggling to get out and saw her. "Laila! Help me!" said Evie. "I would but I'm fucking chained!" said Laila tugging on them that was connected to the wall. She looked again to see nothing but Imhotep walked down the steps to Evie Both girls then saw the black water ripple with a soul emerging out floating over to the body as the chanting was more intense until it was absorbed into its vessel making the mummified woman scream to life and turn to look at Evie who screamed too. 'Imhotep stop!' said Laila. 'Not my sister. I shall bring my love back and your life with Ariaz. Then I shall be invincible!" said Imhotep raising the dagger in his hands making the girls scream. Laila then looked to see Rick use a sword from one of the statues too break the chains from her wrists and ankles. While Evie told Jonathan to read the cover of the gold book to help them as he was avoiding Imhotep. "Wheres Ardeth?" said Laila grabbing his arm to stop him doing anything yet. Rick didnt say a thing seeing her almost look broken then shook it off knowing being weak isnt going to help and grabbed a spear from the display. She then went over to attack the priests with Rick who freed Evie. 'Kill him. And no harm comes to my sister.' Imhotep commended his priests. They began fighting against them along with keeping Imhotep from getting the golden book. Laila then heard gunshots not far from where they are making her stop and smile knowing that Ardeth is still alive and looked at Jonathan who was suddenly grabbed by the neck by Imhotep lifting him up. Rick ran over while Laila came fight off Ank Su Namun sliced Imhotep's arm off and crawled away to Laila who helped him up making sure he was okay. "Go. we got him." Said Jonathan rubbing his neck while showing the key with his other hand. Laila kissed his cheek before running out hearing Ardeth yelling along with the mummified priests about to kill him. She stabbed her spear through its chest and moved it to the others roughly coming at her from behind. "Laila?!" said Ardeth getting up carefully.

"Did you have anything to stop them?" said Laila looking at him. Ardeth handed her one of his guns and pulled her into a passionate kiss having her return it back to him quickly. "Lets finish this." said Laila. She turned firing her rounds at the priests heads killing them off one by one with Ardeth following her lead until there wasnt any left. Ardeth dropped his side holding his injured shoulder having Laila come to his side to see the damage seeing the recent slash marks. He then got help getting back up with Laila's help and held onto her finding a short way out and heard shouting from outside after taking many turns. 'Help! My husband is injured!' Laila yelled loudly to get someone out there to help them. Ardeth looked up to see its one of the men from their tribe leading them out away from the City in time for the place to get treated. Lalia was checked completely seeing her only had a minor injuries like bruises and scratches while Ardeth hand a dislocated shoulder and cuts on a few places. "Looks like they survived as well." said one of the men looking at the City falling into ruins. Ardeth climbed onto his horse pulling Laila along with him on his lap riding to their friends to check on them not realizing that they were coming when Laila placed a hand on Jonathan scaring them. "Laila!" said Jonathan. "We are grateful for stopping imhotep that we have been looking out for years." said Laila. "To and our people. We owe our dept." said Ardeth blessing them. "You too." said Jonathan doing the same thing Ardeth did. "You going back with your people then huh?" said Rick as Evie smacked him on the chest. "What do you think? besides we have a lot to discuss with the council on our back to the city." said Laila. "We'll meet you there then before you leave." said Evie. "We're not going to lose touch with you." said Laila. "I dont know you but we all could use a drink." said Rick. "Later after a very rest. We'll see you at the city then." said Ardeth clicking his tongue to get their horse to move. "How are you my love?" said Ardeth looking at Laila. "Worn out but i should worry about you. You did fight the most on your own." said Laila feeling hm neck the back pf her neck. "Imhotep didnt cause any harm to you?" said Ardeth. "No. He chained me if you didnt see the shackles that was attached to my ankles and wrists." said Laila teasing him. She felt his hands squeeze her gently around her middle on their long travel to the city where their people await them on what happened.

They got their place that was barely visited by the citizens and done what they can to rest after everything they been through together with Rick, Evie, and Jonathan. Laila finished her bath and dressed comfortably lying next to Ardeth stitching better after he done the same before her. Knock. Knock. Knock. Laila looked at the door then at Ardeth who was doing the same getting off th bed grabbed her knife behind her back walking over to look through the peephole see no one in sight. She carefully and slowly opens the door searching for anyone around and looked down. Ardeth slowly sat up seeing Laila frozen in her placed dropping the knife making him grow concern when she bent to pick up something closing the door and locked it. "Laila? Whats wrong?" said Ardeth. He watched her turn around holding a wrapped cloth in her hands and revealed before them to reveal an armband not having Laila take her eyes off of it. "This was in my visons." said Laila. "It's Masika's." she says. "But we know this and our friends, right?" said Ardeth standing up walking to her. "Yes, but what if there was someone else?" said Laila looking from the armband to him. "Why else this would show up now?" she says. "I think its best if you expose yourself until we figure this out." said Ardeth having her sit down and take the armband to put away. He dialed the telephone number to reach anyone at the museum knowing that their people have some there besides Curator to help them. Laila laid on her back thinking about the visons she gotten while Ardeth spoke to someone in their tongue then sat up quickly after she found her answer. "Ariaz." said Laila out loud as Ardeth stopped his conversation with who it was on the phone with him. "What?" said Ardeth. "The Armband was a gift from Ariaz when i was with Ahmunet. He must have a reincarnation with his memories, but he is long gone by now." said Laila sadly. "Not if we find him." said Ardeth angrily then went back to talking on the telephone.
