Opposite Attract

Chapter 9

TARA POV

They were tangled up under the sheets, Genesis 's head resting on Lorenzo 's chest, and their legs intertwined.

My eyes widened, it's like my brain was struggling to catch up with what I was seeing. I glance at Amara, who was standing next to me, eyes just as wide.

"Yow... is you clocking this-?" I started, my voice barely above a whisper.

Amara nodded, not sure if she should be shocked, amused, or confused. "Yup. That's the same Genesis we was just talk bout. In ma brother's bed."

For a second, we just stood there, not saying a word, until I nudged Amara. "Girl, this is just..." I said tryna find the words.

"Gurl I dont even know what to say cause Im bamboozled"

Amara just look at me for a minute then she breaks into a grin. "Gurl, I know exactly what we gots to do."

Before I could ask what she meant, Amara pulled out her phone, opened the camera app, and aimed it at the bed.

"No way," I whispered, look at her. "You ain't gonna-"

"What? I need evidence," Amara interrupted, snapping a few quick photos of Lorenzo and Genesis all snuggled up together.

"Ohh gurl you right " I said pulling out my phone as well. "Just wait until they asses up. Make sure you get all the good angles"

Amara snapped one last picture, zooming in on Genesis's face, which was peacefully smushed against Enzo's chest.

"Yea just like that," I whispered, trying my hardest not to laugh out cause this shit is funny as fuck.

"They gon' die when they see this shit" Amara said then winked at me. "Trust me, I'm gonna save these for the right moment."

Just as Amara was bout to take another picture for good measure, Enzo stirred. His eyes fluttered open, and before Amara could react, he spotted her standing right beside him with her phone right in his face.

"What the fuck is you all up in ma face fo?" He asked still half-asleep.

He looked like he was bout to say smth else when he looked down and saw Genesis peacefully sleeping on his chest.

He wore confused looked on his face at first but then after awhile he tore the sheet off of his body then carefully removed Genesis's head off of him and unto the pillow and slow got out as if he didn't want to wake Genesis up. We was still taking pics while he was doin this though.

He suddenly looked back and pointed his finger at us.

"This ain't nothing aight, I don't even know how we end up like that but don't tell Genesis cause you know how he gets" he sighed, "Just don't say nothin to him aight?"he said and we eyed him suspiciously.

"Yea aight" I said and I know that Genesis would behave the most way but I made up my mind on what am finna do anyways so, "We won't say nothin, promise" Amara said.

"Anyways am bout to leave but like how Genesis is still asleep am a leave him so can you drop him off when he awake?" I said getting back to the matter at hand.

"You ain't even gotta ask, just do you"

"Op- you right I'ma just mind ma business" I said grabbing Amara's arm "later boo" I waved at him then draged Amara out of his room with me.

"....Your not gonna do it right?" Amara asked. "Bitch you know am a do it" I said and she burst out laughing cause she know I would do it.

"I know, I know" she said wiping away fake tears.
