"It's almost time to leave. Sienna put on yuh slippers," Octavia said as she finished wiping out the salon.
"Mommy, I can't find it." Sienna frowned, swinging her legs back and forth on the chair.
Octavia picked up the mop bucket and started walking towards the bathroom. "It's underneath the chair. How will you find it when you're not looking?"
"The floor is still wet. Mi nuh wah drop, Mommy," Sienna responded and then there was a knock on the glass door.
"A Daddy that?" Octavia asked as she washed her hands.
Sienna jumped down to the floor and took her slippers from underneath the chair when she saw Kemar standing outside. "Yes, Mommy."
Octavia quickly cleaned herself up before turning off the bathroom light. She walked out and picked up her handbag from the nearby station along with the keys before opening the door. Sienna wrapped her arms around Kemar's legs as Octavia turned off the lights inside the salon.
She locked the doors and the gate before allowing Kemar to pull the shutters down. He took the two padlocks from her and locked them before double checking to make sure it was locked before handing the keys back to her.
"Daddy, can I get KFC?" Sienna asked as they walked to the car.
"No, we ago eat food when we go home," Kemar told her.
"But mi hungry now," She whined and Octavia slipped her handbag off her shoulder.
"Mi have snacks, yuh want that?" Octavia folded her lips to stop herself from laughing when Sienna ignored her.
"Yuh want the snacks?" Kemar asked and Sienna folded her arms, pouting.
"One piece'a chicken nah cost a lot. Just bu—" Octavia started when Kemar cut her off.
"No means no. She nah get nuh KFC," He stated, opening the backdoor so Sienna could get in before doing the same for Octavia.
When he got into the car, he turned on the engine and leaned back. They all put their seatbelts on and Octavia looked back, checking Sienna. She had a pout on her lips and Octavia pinched her cheek, playfully. Kemar reached over and slipped his hand under her blouse, touching her stomach.
"Nuh baby nuh in there. Stop feel up me belly," She said, pulling his hand away but he put it back.
"A you a tell me or a mi a tell yuh?" He laughed and she looked at him as he leaned over, raising her top fully.
"If mi pregnant, mi ago tump yuh inna yuh back. I said next year and if yuh spitefully breed me just because," She said as he continued to caress her belly.
She left his hand before his touch felt good and comforting. While looking through the windshield, she saw Trina walking past with her son. She fixed her handbag on her shoulder before picking up the toddler, walking faster.
"Weh we ago eat?" Kemar asked, finally driving out of the parking lot.
"Chicken, please? It doesn't have to be KFC," Sienna piped up.
