All set for the day I stepped out of my house as the clock was going to hit 9 am soon. I looked up at the sky and realized that the weather wasn't sunny, but a little cloudy, indicating that it might rain today. I unlocked my phone and checked the weather report, though it's not always true but still it gives an idea of the weather. The weather report said that it may rain in the afternoon. I walked to the car with my eyes busy on the phone and banged to my car.

"Ouch! My leg!" I screamed while rubbing my lower leg as it got hit in the car. I bent down and pulled my jeans a little up, trying to look if I got any injury. I saw a small cut formed a little below my knee.
As I continued to examine the wound, a familiar voice interrupted from behind. "Ananya! What happened?" I got up and turned around. And saw Vikram standing behind me, worried and tensed.

"Nothing, I am fine. I just, ran into the car." I said while hiding the cut imprinted on my leg.

"Where were you looking while walking? Huh?" He said, his voice stern and eyebrows tensed.

"I-I was looking at my phone." I replied looking at the ground. I thought either he will shout, or laugh it off and ignore it, but it didn't went like that.

He lowered his head to my eye level and held my shoulders gently. I looked up, my eyes met with his; care and worry palpable in his eyes.

"Ananya, you should be careful. You could have had a big injury." He said, his voice like a soothing balm, that took away all the pain. His care always makes my heart swell. I smiled and nodded, agreeing to his words.

"Is it hurting?" He asked looking at my leg.

"No, not much. I am good." I replied.

"Are you sure? Or should we put a bandage on it?" He asked worried.

"It's not that big Vikram, don't worry. I am fine." I assured smiling.

"Okay. But still examine it once again when you will be back home." He instructed with concern.

"Sure. Thanks for your concern." I smiled.

He looked at me with disappointment, "No 'thanks' in friendships Ananya." He sighed.

"Oops! Sor—"

"For God's sake don't say sorry now!" He said joining his hands in front of me.

I chuckled looking at him and wondered if he acts like this with everyone or is it just me? I was lost in my silly thoughts while staring at his adorable face. My eyes denied to move.

"So...will you keep staring at me today?" He scoffed tilting his head.

"Huh, oh...actually I was thinking something." I replied with a shaky smile, my cheeks turned red with embarrassment.

"Good excuse." He said with a smirk.

"Ugh." I sighed while I actually blushed inside.

"Come on, let's go. It can rain anytime." He said walking towards the car. I nodded and settled into the driving seat.

As I continued to drive, the weather became very cloudy and pleasant. It was all dark, the wind blowed intensely making the trees dance with it, and the clouds thundered loudly.
My eyes sparkled at the dark thundering weather. I have always loved this dark and windy weather before the rain than the rain itself. I opened the car window, letting the cold breeze brush through my hair. I felt Vikram's gaze on me, I turned my face to him, his hair a little messed up by the air, and his lips smiling as usual.

"You like this weather?" He questioned smiling.

"Mhm, I do." I replied gazing at the darkness caused due to the rainy clouds.
