Chapter 0: Welcome to Astral Express

Deep inside the sea of souls lied the Great Seal which barred Nyx from being released to the world to avoid imminent destruction. The Great Seal was none other than Makoto Yuki, the boy who out of his own fate chose to sacrifice himself to prevent it from being released to the world again. He had been this way for hundreds of years, not being able to do anything but stare at the darkness and listen to his own thoughts. Then suddenly out of nowhere cracks began to form on the seal and a bright light had formed covering Makoto and the door behind him.

The light had dissipated and Makoto was now lying down facing upwards on the invisible floor of the Sea of the Souls, dressed in the Gekkoukan School Uniform, the Evoker which was placed on it's holster and the headphones on his neck with the mp3 player lying on the chest. He opened his eyes and in an instant forgot how to breath before slowly now taking deep breaths before regaining his composure and then sat back up now moving his arms freely considering he was chained up in the same pose and quickly adapted to it.

Makoto: So I am back in my human state....wait a minute, what's going on? Why am I out of the Great Seal?

???: It's been a while....honored guest.

Still seated down he turned towards the source of the voice which happened to be Elizabeth who appeared out of nowhere was approaching him with a smile.

Makoto: Elizabeth! Just the person I wanted to see! What's going on here?! Why am I out of the seal?!

Elizabeth: Calm down Yuki. I am sure you have many questions but as for the Great Seal issue, you might want to turn and look to see who has taken your place.

He then turned and then widened his eyes. The Persona Thanatos who had now taken his place was wrapped up in multiple Chains instead of the barbed wire which he was originally placed in on the first place.

Makoto : So Thanatos....wait scratch that, Ryoji has decided to take my place as the great seal? But why? Isn't he the appriser of death?

Elizabeth: I am not sure about that myself. Perhaps most likely he couldn't bear to see you like this for hundreds of years so he decided to let you free and let him take his place. Quite coincidentally since he is the one attached to Nyx and he decided to prevent it from causing The Fall again.

Makoto: I see....I guess it's due to the fact that it got some of the human side from me. That's probably the reason....Guess he decided to help me in his own way.

He sighed as he looked towards back towards Elizabeth.

Makoto: Anyway. Moving that aside....Considering that I have been here for hundreds of years are my friends.......

Elizabeth: Indeed, it's just as you have guessed. Your friends have passed away. Including your mechanical friend too. They have all lived their lives to the fullest, not forgotten about your sacrifice until their dying breath.

Makoto: Just as I thought...... I am sad about it .....and at the same time happy. If they continued living for my sake until the end, it's fine by me.

He sighed as he got back up as he glanced at the sea of souls and then back to the Great Seal.

Makoto: So what am I going to do from here....? Keep watching the Great Seal from the sidelines? Because I'm already dead in my own world so I can't go back.

Elizabeth: Isn't it obvious? I am going to give you one more chance to live another life. Besides you still wield the power of the Universe and you still possess your persona so it will be a shame to let that go to waste.

Makoto: Wait what? I thought I already used up my wildcard and the Universe to seal Nyx away so you're telling me I can still be able to use my personas?!
