AUTHOR BIO

I'm a bisexual writer who uses writing as an escape from my life. Writing stories and watching my characters come to life on the pages is one of the best moments. Writing has been my childhood dream, and to be able to do that as a hobby has helped me a lot in life. Whenever I'm not writing, you can find me hanging out in nature with my dog, doing strenuous physical work, and other stuff that consume my life.

PREMISE

Ava became a KSD assassin at only sixteen years old. Fueled by anger, hate, and the hunger for revenge, Ava has forgotten what compassion or sympathy even means. Until she meets a sassy beam of sunshine who disarms her at first sight. When Ava feels that heartmelting spark, she considers betraying her organization to experience that warm feeling once again.

Jennie So-Yeon has been sheltered from any speck of violence her whole life, thanks to her parents and her tough best friend. Jennie believes murder is wrong, no matter the reason. But when she meets a cold assassin who spares her in a dark alley, she finds her isolated life of sunshine and rainbows shattering into a million pieces as she falls for a killer.

The truth behind KSD's purpose slowly unravels as Eve, the leader of the organization, puts out a hit on both Ava and Jennie. Ava must decide if she's going to throw away all her beliefs and years of her life out the window for that dreaded emotion: love.

Will Ava and Jennie be able to hold onto their love despite the pressures and death threats around them? Or will one end up betraying the other as both their worlds fall apart?

TEASER SCENE

An idea pops in my head. It may be reckless and insane, but judging by the bullets flying all around us, it's the best chance I have to keep Jennie safe.

"You have to switch to the front, Jennie!" I shout out loud. Glancing back for a brief moment, I twist the throttle a little more to speed up.

"What?" Jennie squeaks as another gunshot rings out. "Are you crazy? That's impossible!"

"Nothing is impossible with me." I definitely got this, even though I've never done it before.

Jennie tightens her grip around me. "Cocky much?"

"Do you want to stay behind and get shot? Come on, twiggy. You're as light as a feather. I won't drop you."

"That's not reassuring at all!"

"Do you trust me?"

"No!!"

"Good, now put your arm around my waist while I do the same, then let your body go before swinging your leg back over. Got it?" Tightening my hand's grip on the handlebar, I manage to wrap my other arm around Jennie's waist.

"No, I don't-"

"And go!"

I force-lift her off the seat. She screams as her feet almost kiss the cement. The motorcycle wobbles a little. Her hands apply heavy pressure on my wounded stomach as she holds on to my waist. Grimacing through the pain, I focus on regaining balance and not letting my grip on Jennie slip.

"I got you, Jennie! Now lift your stupid leg up!" Another bullet flies by and shatters the left side mirror. Bits of glass explode into the air, a few tiny pieces piercing my face. I curse under my breath at the damaged part.

"I... I can't!" Jennie screams, attempting to swing her leg over the seat.

INTERVIEW

1. How did you start writing on Wattpad?

I started writing on Wattpad by deciding to open an account because I kept hearing about the platform from people who would tell me I should write on here. I decided to try it out in hopes that maybe I'll get to go back to writing after all and I never expected to be where I am today.

2. What was the inspiration for your book  »The Lethal Encounter« ? If you could describe your story in only three words, what would they be?

The inspiration would be the ONC prompt "They were sunshine, I was midnight rain", but I think the main one would be my love for action stories, especially Kill Bill, any Jackie Chan movie, Salt, and I can go on. I love that I was able to write about my most loved genre.

Sunshine, revenge, sapphic.

3. Which details or scenes in »The Lethal Encounter« are most unique and interesting to you?

The fight scenes, the banter between Ava and both Jennie and Mina and when Ava throws away her former life for someone she's barely known by fighting back against her boss/mentor/mother-figure.

4If you were a character in your story, which one would you be and why?

I would probably be Mina! She has combat skills and is strong just like Ava, but she uses them to protect her best friend Jennie, which screams me. I would also have the nerve and bravery to stand up to an assassin for Jennie, and her comebacks would be the same as mine.

5.Do you intend to write another action book in the future? What advice would you give to other writers who wish to try writing as well?

Most definitely! My advice would be to focus on writing for yourself, what you want, and to have fun while doing so! Forcing yourself to write something that you don't have fun writing will put a toll on you. Writing takes lots of practice, trials and errors, and the most important thing you can do is implement everything you've learned into your words as you improve yourself as a writer. There will be ups and down, so just remember that the writing journey is long and full of challenges to overcome. And of course, make sure you take care of yourself and take breaks when you need them.
