AUTHOR BIO

Wolter Busscher. In the Netherlands, I work as a teacher at a high school. I have two daughters and am happily married to a wonderful woman named Yael. The main reason I write is because my mind is overflowing with ideas. Initially, I write them in Dutch and then translate everything into English. Although it can be arduous and time-consuming, the sense of fulfilment after completing it is worth it. When I write, I don't set any goals as a writer. I simply write to express my thoughts as clearly as possible, and I hope that someone will read it with a smile.

PREMISE

In a world ravaged by chaos, a teenager named Hero embarks on a perilous quest to reach the fabled Eden in the Far East-a place rumoured to be the last safe haven in a broken world.

With only his electric car, Falcon, to carry him across the hostile deserts and through the grip of violent gangs and cannibals, Hero's journey becomes a race for survival. But as he pushes forward, determined to keep his promise to his parents, Hero encounters more than physical danger.
A mysterious figure emerges, forcing him to confront his deepest fears and leaving him questioning everything he once believed.

With the future uncertain and his heart torn between the search for paradise and the bonds he's forged along the way, Hero must ask himself: is Eden real, or merely a myth? And when the price of survival is giving up everything, will paradise truly be worth the sacrifice?

TEASER SCENE

teaser scene of Chapter 1: Prickly

It's morning.

I sit at our wooden table with my children. Jessy cradles the cactus figs from yesterday. She selects each one, making sure it's the perfect choice.

She's got a cute smile.

Her work makes Farah and Claire's eyes sparkle with wonder and hope.
