It was Saturday now and I hadn't spoken to Kellin despite the few reassuring kisses to the days prior.
Jaime had still been coming and going at his usual schedule. I was still pissed off, I was furious.
I went to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water as various thoughts ran through my mind. Why had Jaime gone to prostitution and why would he lie to me? When the fuck is he going to be home when I'm here?
As if my thoughts couldn't be any more precise at that moment, the door flung open and Jaime himself walked in.
"Oh, hey Vic." He said to me so casually.
"You." I pointed to him as I growled out my next response. "You go sit the fuck down in the living room. Now!" My hold around the bottle of water clenched and I couldn't help but yell at him.
"What's going on?" He asked almost scared, I could see the fear in his eyes but his stance was protective.
"Just go sit the fuck down!" I yelled at him again. He slammed the door closed and went to the couch quickly. I watched him, my gaze firm and my eyes hard.
I walked over to him. He was dressed in a dark jacket and a white long sleeve t-shirt. His jeans had rips in them and his eyes had bags.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I spoke in a deathly calm voice. I settled for leaning against the wall opposite of where Jaime sat. He simply looked up at me in confusion.
"What're you talking about?" He asked.
"Why didn't you fucking tell me you were a prostitute!" My outburst startled him and his eyes began to water. He was afraid because I knew. He was afraid of what I would do next.
"Huh? Answer me, dammit!" I slammed my hand down on the coffee table separating us as he flinched back.
"Vic, I-I don't know what you're-"
"Don't give me that bullshit! I followed you one morning, I know where you go each day! I've been to that place, Jaime! That sick fucking place! Don't pretend you have no clue what I'm saying because you know damn well I'm not up for games right now!" The water bottle was on the floor now as I had both of my palms flat against the old table.
My eyes were locked with Jaime's as he opened his mouth to reply. He was shaking, sinking back further into the couch.
"I'm so sorry, Vic. I didn't want to! It was never suppose to be like this!" His voice rose as he pulled at his hair, he broke our gaze and stared down at his lap.
"I only tried getting us some money for the house. I swear I tried leaving, God did I try. B-but they wouldn't let me. They just wouldn't." I pinched the bridge of my nose.
"Why did you sleep with Carter?" Silence. You could only hear my heavy breathing and Jaime's.
"Answer me!" I yelled yet again.
"Who?" That only angered me more.
"Kellin's fiancé! That's who, Jaime!" A look dawned upon him as he recalled Kellin.
"I-I don't know w-what to say." He stuttered. "You're damn right you do." I spat under my breath.
"H-he came to me. Said if I didn't, he would make me pay." Jaime cringed at the mentioning of paying. My anger was sizzling down to confusion, it was still there though, boiling beneath the surface.
"How does he know where we live?" I picked up the bottle again and took a sip or two. "I told him." He said meekly.
"Why? Why the fuck would you do that?!" Everything was going wrong, everything.
