TW ; // mentioned violence , cursed words

Byungwoo hurried through the bustling airport, his eyes darting around as he noticed the increased police presence. He cursed under his breath, realizing they were searching for him. Abandoning his plan to fly out, he quickly turned back and made his way to the parking lot.

Sliding into the driver's seat of his car, he fumbled for the keys. But before he could start the engine, he felt the cold barrel of a gun pressed against the side of his head.

"Trying to run away, Mr. Kim Doyoung?" a familiar voice purred.

Byungwoo froze, glancing in the rearview mirror. Arin's smirk greeted him from the back seat, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction.

Byungwoo's heart pounded in his chest as he locked eyes with Arin through the mirror. He tried to keep his voice steady as he said, "What do you want, Arin? Money? Power? We can make a deal. "

Arin chuckled, the sound cold and mocking. "You really think you're in a position to negotiate? How pathetic."

She leaned closer, the gun still steady by his head.

"This isn't about money or power. It's about payback. You've caused enough pain, and now, it's time for you to feel it."

Byungwoo's hands trembled on the steering wheel, his mind racing for an escape. But he knew he was cornered, with nowhere to run and no one to help him. Arin had him right where she wanted him.

Arin cocked the gun, her eyes narrowing as she leaned even closer. "I have a question for you," she said, her voice dripping with menace. "You want to die right here, or would you rather rot in a cell for the rest of your miserable life?"

Byungwoo swallowed hard, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. He knew she wasn't bluffing, and the fear in his eyes was unmistakable. The weight of his choices pressed down on him, and for the first time, he realized there was no way out.

Suddenly, Byungwoo pulled out a hidden blade and slashed at Arin's wrist, causing her to drop the gun. Arin gasped in pain, clutching her bleeding wrist as Byungwoo seized the moment to scramble out of the car.

As Byungwoo fled, he grabbed a nearby metal rod from the ground. Arin, gritting through the pain, lunged after him, determined not to let him escape. But before she could reach him, Byungwoo swung the rod, striking Arin on the head. She staggered back, disoriented and on the verge of collapsing.

Byungwoo took advantage of the momentary lapse, sprinting towards the airport's exit, as Arin struggled to stay conscious, her vision blurring in and out.

Byungwoo, now desperate and disheveled, spotted Hyunjin near the airport exit. He staggered over, desperation evident in his eyes.

"Hyunjin! Please, you have to help me," Byungwoo pleaded, his voice trembling. "I know we haven't been on good terms, but I'm begging you. You were my worker once-help me get out of here, will you?!"

"I think you've got the wrong person, man," Hyunjin said, his tone unwavering.

Just then, Arin appeared from the shadows, her face set in a determined expression. " WE'RE NOT DONE YET , YOU MFS "

Byungwoo whirled around, panic setting in. He shoved Hyunjin aside, sending him crashing to the ground. With a final glance at his former worker, Byungwoo dashed toward the terminal. But as he looked ahead, his leg was suddenly shot. He collapsed to the ground, writhing in pain.

Chan walked over, his expression cold and resolute. He approached Byungwoo who was writhing on the ground, unable to move. Chan knelt beside him, holding the gun steady.

"Mr. Kim Doyoung, you're under arrest for multiple criminal charges, including attempted murder, drug trafficking, and corruption," Chan declared, his voice firm.

Byungwoo looked up at him, fear and despair evident in his eyes. "You... you can't do this!"

"I already have," Chan said, pulling out handcuffs and securing Byungwoo's wrists. "It's over for you. Now , come with me ,"

As Byungwoo was being restrained, Arin and Hyunjin approached, both looking battered but victorious.

"It's finally over," she whispered to herself, feeling a mix of relief and lingering tension.

"Arin-ah, are you okay?" Hyunjin asked, concern evident in his voice.

"Ye-" she started to reply, but before she could finish, she passed out. Fortunately, Hyunjin was quick enough to catch her before she hit the floor.

Arin opened her eyes, her vision slowly clearing. As she tried to sit up, a rush of memories hit her-an urgent realization that she needed to act quickly. She moved to get up, her body still weak but her mind racing.

She winced in pain as she attempted to sit up, but Felix, noticing her discomfort, quickly stepped in. He gently pushed her back down.

" No, I need to-"
"Shh..stay still. Everything's fine now," Felix said softly, his concern evident. "You're hurt and need to rest. Whatever it is you can wait until you're stronger. I told you to be careful... "

He sighed . Arin's heart softened at his words, and she looked at him with a mixture of gratitude and vulnerability. "I'm sorry," she murmured, her voice barely audible.

Felix's expression softened as he took her hand gently. "Just focus on getting better," he said, his tone reassuring. "We'll deal with everything else when you're stronger. For now, just rest."

Arin's heartbeat fastened as she felt Felix's hand in hers, a warmth spreading through her despite the pain. She glanced at him, her eyes reflecting a mix of gratitude and vulnerability. Felix noticed her reaction but quickly pulled his hand away, a hint of embarrassment in his expression.

"Sorry," he murmured, looking away.
" I-I'm going to call the doctor now ,"

Then, he left . Arin stared at the door, her mind racing.

"What is this? Oh my god, calm down, please,"

She thought, trying to steady her breathing.

"Ugh, what's wrong with me? Why am I feeling like this whenever he's around ?"

She shook her head, attempting to push aside her confusion and focus on her recovery.

" whatever. "
