Amelias pov :
It had been a couple moments since he left. My mind has been swirling with thoughts for a while. His threats were low-key eating away at me. I tried to ignore the fear that had suppressed me all this time. I had 30 minutes or an hour. I had to act now.

When I asked him to put the ropes looser it wasn't only because it hurt. Surprisingly enough he had complied.

His loss I guess.

When he began retying the ropes I had put my wrist at an angle, creating space underneath it. I hope it's enough for me to wiggle out.

I collected my thoughts and tried to relax my still tense body. I started rotating my right wrist, trying to get an angle on it again.

Okay hopefully this works

I started retracting my wrist. The rope scrubbed against my already sore skin but I barely felt it. I had one goal and I wasn't giving up now. After some moments of struggling I finally did it. My wrist shot out of the previously tight bound. I smiled down but quickly composed myself. Three ropes to go.

I reached over to my left wrist. Now with one hand loose it was easier to get the other one out too. Wich after a few moments I successfully did. I scooted over on the table, now reaching my ankles.

Before I could process it properly I was stood on the ground again. It felt weird honestly. Being able to stand after being tied down for who knows how long. I let out a deep sigh. The easiest part had been completed. Thoughts washed over me.

What if someone was patrolling the door. What if the front door was locked. What if...
No Amelia.. that's a problem for later. Maybe it will be easy?

At this point I'm just gaslighting myself.
I quickly tried to shake of the thoughts that were consuming my mind and started making my way towards the staircase.

Please don't creak.

I slowly lifted my foot and carefully placed it on the first step. Then let my weight onto it.
That's one. The stairs don't look creaky but I still have to be careful. Wich I did. I slowly made my way up the stairs, step for step.

Then I was met with the door. Face face to face with something wich would soon grand me my freedom. Then a realization hit me.

I don't even know the layout of the house.
I was asleep when they got me in. I might have to make a run for it as soon as I open this door.

I froze for a second. I should get this over with before the half hour is over. Otherwise I'll get caught for sure. I reached my hand out and grabbed the handle. Slowly I pushed it down. Silently praying it wouldn't make noise.

I carefully opened the door slightly, peeking through it when my eyes landed on a hallway. I straightened my posture before walking through. I shut the door behind me as silently as possible. The hallway continued on my left, ending on what looked like a dining area.

Almost in front of me was another staircase, leading up to the upstairs area. Beside it was a glass door that was opened, giving me a small peek into the living room.

Then I looked to the right. Was that.... The front door. I almost gasped at the sight. When I wanted to look around for a clear coast I heard footsteps and before I knew Ezra was stood before me. My eyes widened in surprise and I froze. I took a step back.

Ezra shook his head when he saw me. He quickly snatched my wrist and pulled me towards him. "No" I whisper-yelled. I tried to get out of his grip but his vice like hold didn't falter.

Without wasting more time he pulled me with him, through the already opened glass doors. His strides were confident. We barely took a left then we entered the kitchen area.

My eyes landed on the boss, seated at the kitchen island, also enjoying his pasta. I gulped. He'd be fuming if he knows what I was up to.

He looked up from his meal only to see me standing next to Ezra, he narrowed his eyes slightly. Before he could say anything Ezra spoke up. "Look who I found sneaking around." a sick smirk plastered on his face that I barely noticed. Only looking at the boss and his reaction.

Why'd he have to word it like that

His eyes darkened as he heard Ezra's words. He immediately dropped his fork and walked towards us. He ignored Ezra's presence and grabbed my wrist from him. Yanking me with him. He pulled me towards the front door.

I wanted to cry. Freedom lingers right in front of me. Then we turned the corner, soon arriving at the door to te basement. He wasted no time before walking off the stairs, still pulling me after him tightly.

"What did I fucking tell you." He said, his voice raised and holding something dangerous. Though his rather cold and stoic appearance he had looked pretty calm previously.

It was all wiped away in a second when Ezra's words left his mouth. He picked me up like I was nothing and threw. Threw me on the table. "I- im sorry" I stammered.

"Shut up. You know the consequences and I made them Damn clear." He snapped. His hands moved towards the ropes and tied me down, as tight as he could. Anger was fueling him and it was clear. It seemed like he could do anything. Well he could. I was helpless on the table.

Suddenly his large hand gripped around my throat, his veins popping. I wanted to pull him away, tell him to stop but the ropes cutting into my skin made it clear there was nothing I could do.

He kept his eyes on me. His grip tightening around my throat. I could feel the air slipping away, my breathing getting harder and deeper. "Please-" I tried to speak. In response he only tightened his grip. Now getting to a point where new air couldn't reach my lungs anymore.

Tears filled my eyes and I looked at him in pure fear. He didn't look bothered at all as he slowly saw me slipping from reality. The tears were now streaming down my face and I could feel myself getting lightheaded. A gulp downed my throat and I soon slipped into unconsciousness.
