As everyone said their goodbyes to Connie, Don can be heard violently sobbing. Well, it's normal for him to sob that way. He was really close to Connie -- and even if he wasn't; anyone looking at the scene would cry too. I've known her half my life, and now she's gonna be adopted.
I hope she's happy, I don't know what else to say now.

Me, Emma, Norman, Ray, and Gilda are assigned to clean the dining room. Everyone's talking to eachother, and I'm spacing out and stuck in my thoughts once more. I'm here to grab a broom, but everyone's chatting is making me want to shut out everything.
"Come on, y/n! Let's get to sweeping," Gilda says, making me turn snap out of my thoughts for a moment.
I nodded and gave a soft smile to Gilda as I walked with her and the others. Me and Gilda are quite close, she's one of the nicer ones. She's not too energetic, and she's a good listener. Sometimes I ramble too much, and she's the only one that understands everything I say.
With the others though, not so much. I guess I could say I'm quite close to Norman, but to Emma and Ray? Not at all. Emma -- she's nice. Really nice, but I'm kind of scared of her. She's all I've wanted to be, and that scares me. It's like -- I want to be with her, but be her too. Ray, on the other hand -- something about him feels off. He's so distant yet manages to keep a good relationship with everyone, and I'm quite envious of that. I've never talked much with him, ever. It's almost as if he's always lying through his teeth, I just can't figure out how.
"Conny?! How could you!"
A shriek is heard from the dining room, only for it to come from Emma. It seems like she's yelling about something, but I can't care enough to check it out directly.
"How is this possible? How can you be so careless right after that heartwarming speech you gave?! How?! I suppose she was a little on the forgetful side, but this is just nuts!!" Emma yells out, her voice ringing in my ears. Gilda pulls me by the arm and urgently runs in to the dining room, scanning the room to see if something was wrong.
Emma is in a state of disbelief, her brows furrowed. A vein is basically visible on her forehead, and she's staring at... Little Bunny? Now I get her point. 'I suppose she was a little on the forgetful side, but this is just nuts' Now, Emma has a point there...
"Wha... What should I do?" Emma asks, dramatically shaking Little Bunny. Gilda sighs and lets go of my arm, taking a step closer to Emma. "I mean... She already left!" Gilda responds while her hands are idly moving the broom, sweeping the floor under her.
" It's too early to say that," A voice chimes in, coming in from the door. I turn my head back to see that it was Ray who just chimed in the conversation, staring at Emma with an aloof look on his face. "Just now, I saw some lights turned on over at the gate through the bathroom window." He continues, his finger pointing at the direction of the gate. "Mama went to see Conny off and hasn't returned yet either. There's definitely a possibility that she still hasn't left yet."
"Let's bring it to her," Norman says as the sound of sweeping fills the background.
Well, in short they went out to break the rules, and went to deliver Little Bunny. My gut feels odd, as they went out. And it's in the rules for them to not go to the gate, especially at this time of day.
"Ray, why didn't you stop them?" I asked, turning my head over to Ray as I sweep the floor.
Ray sighs and runs a hand through his hair. "They won't listen either way, trust me." And that's probably gonna be the first and last time I'll properly interact with him this week.
