I'm not who I am

You must be wondering how I know him,James Strong. Well it's a long story but I used to work for him. I used to clean up after his mess. He wasn't a good person back then either but who am I to judge. I am not a good person either. I have blood on my hands and I can never get rid of them.

But one thing I'm sure of him is that he won't leave behind evidence. All these years of knowing him,I have never seen him fumble once. He is too powerful. But he doesn't recognise me because the Viper always wears a mask.

I,the Viper,the most gruesome assassin of the Blackstrong Mafia Empire have killed many people for him and his brother Aaron Strong. There's nothing I can't do. But ironically I'm a high ranking police officer. But I'm not that active now...I have a goal that's why I joined the Blackstrong mafia but now I'm no longer involved with them. This is because my goal no longer needs me to do their bidding.

I have to make someone pay. Pay for taking her away from me. Pay them back for ruining my perfect life,for making me go through hell.

In the Mafia world no one knows my real identity because I wear a mask. A mask that protects me and my family. A mask I wear so that I can get my revenge

"Blackstrong Mafia? As if. I'm a good business man. Do not insult me" Daniel aka James replies to Jean's question

Jean looks at him suspicious with a hint of anger in her eyes. I can see that Daniel has pissed her off.

"We'll give us your phone number. We'll contact you if there is anything further" I say showing no emotion
"Alright then officers" he says giving me his card.
"Come on Jean let's go"

As we were about to walk out,he whistled. He whistled the same time. The same tune he used to call me to his side. The same tune he uses when he want me on the scene. No. No it can't be. He can't know that.

I don't turn around.i don't show any reaction. I walk out with Jean but my heart won't stop beating

On the car ride back to the station,Jean ranted how bad Daniel was. I didn't hear any of it,my mind was somewhere else. I was in thought. I had doubts. Did he know it was me? But how? I have concealed my identity very well.

There's no way he could. My mind was a whirlwind. But I can't take any chances. I gotta get rid of him. Maybe this was my chance. If I can prove that he is in the Mafia,then maybe I can. But how? There's no evidence. I destroyed them all.

At the office,I instruct Jean to trace all calls of Daniel. I asked her to trace every call that had come within Ashton's mansion. Soon we had a list. We called each of them to get their alibi. Jean then asked the other officers to check if this was true.

After a few weeks of endless work,we were halfway through. Then we called a guy named Isaac. He didn't pick up. Also his phone location showed that he was near Ashton's mansion for a long time. We called him three times. Then he finally picked up

"Hello,this is the police. I am officer Jea-"

He cut the call

That was wierd. Jean tried two times more but the number had blocked us. He is definitely hiding something.I felt my instincts flare up

"trace him" I say
"alright...Claire look he seems to be moving"
"Do you think he is running"
"Claire let's check him out ok? After all he was near Ashton's mansion a lot"
"Alright let's go"

We traced him and followed him around. Then he stopped at a building. We quickly drove there. It was a rundown building. Abandoned. The building was to be used as a mall but the contract fell through. Now it's just a tall black building. Me and Jean plus two other officers enter with guns in our hands from all the entrances. We open many doors. Finally Jean yells out

"He is here. Claire come quick!!"
"Damn it... No"

The sight in front of my eyes, someone got to him before us. He was tied up and shot dead. But with a symbol behind him on the wall. The symbol of two swans,one black,one white, intertwining their necks with a circle ring around them,the Blackstrong symbol.

Next to him was a table with a locker. It seemed like someone tried to break into it but failed.

"Jean call the forensic department" I say
"Ok" Jean says frozen in place.

Maybe she also felt it. We have gotten ourselves into a big mess but I'm gonna see it through.

The forensic department takes over soon after. And more police officers arrive at the scene. Me and Jean are in the car. We are quiet. I watch the news. The headlines "Blackstrong mafia strikes again". I think about what to do next but right then we get a call from the forensic department to come meet them in an hour.

I think of going to Blackstrong's hideout to meet James. I want to ask him what this is. Normally he wouldn't do this. James is not flashy. He hides all his crimes. Then could it be Aaron? But I haven't seen Aaron for years. I became inactive after he left,I didn't pay much attention or show up in meetings after that so I don't know where he could be

If the symbol is drawn there it is probably a warning. But to whom?. James only draws the symbol if he is killing members of other mafia group. He won't do it publicly and also not for us police to find. This is suspicious. It's out of character. But Aaron would.

I am shocked and confused. Something's going on that's for sure

Soon enough me and Jean meets the forensic department. The head officer Mark greets us.

"So we opened the locker, we couldn't find any fingerprints. There was no drugs used. We managed to find which gun they used. But we couldn't find any important evidence that would lead us to the criminal" he says
"What did the locker have?" Jean asks
"Well that's the thing"
He hands us a big folder.
"This. This has everything related to the Blackstrong empire, mostly of its leader. I think you can find him with this"he says

I quickly grab it and open it. My eyes widen in shock. There it is,a picture of Daniel Rich or as you already know James Strong and all evidences regarding his crimes. This can't be. James wouldn't leave behind evidences so how could this be here. What was more, there was not a single thing about Aaron. This file is entirely targeted at James.
