Diamond watch the others get up and run around the lap, while she and the others do self defense. "Heh, look at betty. Struggling to running though." Jasper snickered softly making her look over to see Betty having a hard time to keep up running." Well, good for her. Since she's so spoiled." Ruby scoff softly making Star giggle." yeah!"

"Guys, quiet. Its starting." Emerald whispered to them making them shut up as their new instructor or trainer appeared. Though, Diamond recognized who's the trainer in self defense. "Mom???" Diamond asked in shock and surprise to see her mom here." Wait mom???" Ruby asked as she stared at her in shock." Miss Mariah is your mother?! the well known ex leader of the resistance?!" Jasper asked her as he stared between Mariah and Diamond in shock.

"um yes. She is my mother yeah." Diamond said awkwardly." No way!!! I never thought that she's your mother! She's a legend!" Topaz said in shock and awe as she stared at Mariah." Yeah. . . wait is that her legendary weapon?! Her Polearm!!?" Ruby asped as Mariah carrying a polearm in her arm.

"No way. . . . . " mumble Obsidian in shock and awe as Diamond chuckle at her friends reaction." Wow, you guys are making this a big deal." Turquoise said softly with a sweat drop as he stared at them." Big deal?? of course its a big deal!" Ruby yelled as she shook him furiously making Turqouise yelp as he was shook furiously none stop.

"Guys, shut up." Emerald hissed at them as she turn and gave them a stern look on her face making them stop." Hello young ones. I am Mariah, your self defense trainer." Mariah introduced herself as she scan each of them before her eyes made contact to Diamond. Mariah gave her daughter a soft smile before going to serious look making Diamond smile softly.

" I am here to teach you to defend yourself." Mariah said as she twirl her polearm around before slammed it down to the ground, letting out a loud bang as everyone stared in awe. "Today, is were you're gonna summon your own weapons." Mariah began with strick look as she come down the stage.

"Weapons only appeared when you gave a sheer emotion or ambition. Your weapon will appeared in different kind that suit you. Like example." She lifted her polearm a bit to show them." My weapon is a polearm because i deal with long distance and fast attack as well. Giving a moderate damage per hit." She explained as she twirl her polearm.

"Remember, what your weapon appears, stays that way." Mariah said with strick look on her face making everyone nodded. "Now gathered around and lets begin." Mariah said softly making everyone stood up and gathered as they ready themselves.

Diamond stood in between Ruby and Topaz while the others were either side of the two. "Alright, hand stretch out and focus on the feeling like you are summoning your weapon of choice." Mariah said as everyone stretch their arm out and focus. Diamond have her arm stretch out, closing her eyes as she took a deep breath.

Though she got distructed by some groaning and grunting noise making her open her eyes and look over and sweat drop to see Star literrally making noise as she was thinking hard. "You serious??" Turquoise ask with a blankly making Jasper laugh in amused while still have his eyes close. Diamond couldnt help it but smile while keeping her eyes close.

She focus on trying to summoning her weapon. Trying as best as she can. 'I can handle the same thing like mother. But i can do both from distance and close combat.' she thought as she search the feeling that it was calling out for her.

She then heard everyone gasp in awe and happiness, meaning that the others have summon their own weaponary of their own. But she focus trying to grasp the feeling she 's been searching for. Till she found it and quickly mentally grasp it and focus on it. She heard everyone gasp making her slowly open her eyes and stared at her weapon in awe to see how unique it was. Others stared at her weapon in awe and disbelief as they stared at Diamond's weapon. "that looks cool!" Jasper said with a grin while holding his blade sword that was emitting electricity on it.

Mariah stared at the weapon in Diamond's hand and smile. 'She still have the weapon you gave as a gift dear.' thought Mariah before clearing her throats to get all the attention back to her. "Alright, lets begin. Weapons out!" Mariah command as everyone hold their own weapons.

"let's get down this business. . . .to train you all to become guardian warriors." Mariah said while looking at each and everyone with serious look make everyone froze at her look. Betty, who just finished going on the run, decided to put an insect on Diamond as a prank as she smirk. Diamond gasp as she began to jerk around while swinging her weapon causing everyone to duck down to avoid getting hit by her weapon.

"Your all a weakest bunch i ever train, but can you bet before this through." Mariah continued to spoke as she walk forward and block Diamond's swing, giving Ruby to grabbed the insect behind Diamond's back and throw it away. Betty laugh silently before stopping when Mariah stood in front of her with arms cross with not impressed look. "How can i make a warrior out of you for creating a prank??" Mariah asked as Betty look away before she was force to do some push ups as punishment.

The harsh training continues as everyone need to take down their opponent out of the arena or made them surrender. Diamond was facing against Betty, who smirk as Diamond attack first but gasp when Betty knocked her out and laugh at her, making Diamond sat up and glared at her before smirking when Jasper and Topaz dump a bucket of water on her making Betty scream and glared at the two laughing hybrids at her before marching away.

Next training were they need to dodge away the blazing arrows that was thrown every direction. Obsidian just casually walks through as arrows burnt away when it hits him making his friends stared at him. Next training is where they need to break the thick wood into two, as Jasper went first and gave a karate chop on the wood, before raising his hand as he hiss in pain making his friends laugh.

Diamond dodge the attack from her mother before grunting as she got kicked on the side making her slide back. 'oh stars. I cant through mother.' thought Diamond as she stared with determined look on her face. Next training, they need to jump over the pillar as below were the streaming water, Ruby didnt like that as she struggle before Quartz flew passed her making the half fire elf stared at her blankly.

It was night time as they were resting. Diamond was talking to Emerald about something before they heard loud explosion as they look over and saw smoke emitting out revealing betty who was about was about to light up the firework to prank the house that belong to the mentors. The mentors including Mariah came out when they heard the explosion and saw this. Making Ruby who was the one who cause it and point it to Betty, who smile sheepish when the mentors including Mariah glared at her. As the result, she got punished by making her clean the bathroom for the whole week.

Next training, is everyone need to carried a heavy bucket of water. Diamond struggle a bit but manage before stoping when quartz falls over. Mariah stop as she was about to help but stop as she watch her daughter help quartz up and both move together where the others wait for them. This made Mariah smile softly as she see that her daughter is getting more friends.

days have passed as Diamond got used to the training. She move her weapon around at ease and spar with Ruby's scythe. Diamond manage to knocked her mother off making Mariah slide off before smiling as she look at her daughter with proud look. 

Sparring match as Diamond ready herself against Betty, who smirk before attacking first. Which Diamond dodge it and gave a karate chop on betty side, making her gasp as Diamond manage to knocked her out causing her friends to cheered for her. Obsidian just casually walk through the blazing arrows while his friends manage to dodge them all at ease.

Ruby manage to jump each of the pillar to get through at ease as others follow as well. Jasper manage to break the wooden brick at ease with a grin. Everyone continued to training until they are finally ready.
