"Let's go! We're official guardian warriors!" Jasper and Star yelled with huge grin on their faces making their other friends just stared at him. "Honestly, you two need to be serious for this." Emerald said with a sigh as she stared at the two of her friends.

Diamond chuckle softly at her friends with a soft smile before pausing when someone attach a paper on the wall before leaving. Out of curiousity, she headed towards to the announce wall and read it. Her friends notice it and follow after her. "Diamond???" Topaz asked softly while looking at her. Diamond re read it again before looking horrified.

"Mother." she mumble out as she back up." I. . . i gotta go." Diamond said as she left, leaving her friends who look confused and concern as they look at each other. Diamond continued to rushed forward as she run passed other people who dodge her and look at her with confusion before minding their own business.

"Mom!" Diamond yelled out as she arrive to see her mother is getting ready while talking to council celia. Mariah stop talking to celia when her daughter called out making her look at her. "Excuse Celia." She said to Celia, who nodded and gave her a smile before walking passed Diamond, patting her shoulder before disappearing.

"Mom, your. . . your leaving???" Diamond asked with worried expression." I have too my sweet gem. Someone spotted a rouge anomaly on another world and i am need to take care of it, leading with the other choosen guardian warriors to go." Mariah said softly with a sad smile on her face.

"but. . . but you cant just leave. . . .You have to stay mom." Diamond plead as she hold her mother's hand, with pleading look on her face." I cannot My daughter. I need to go. Its my duty to protect the world. Including you." Mariah said softly as she carressed her daughter's cheek softly.

"But you cant just leave me. . . . need you." Diamond plead softly as she lean against her mother's touch. Mariah smile softly at her daughter." But i will always be with you. . .even when i am not with you or be with you as always. I will live. . .in here." Mariah touch her daughter's chest." And in here." she then touch her daughter's head softly.

Diamond frown more as her mother turn away and left. She tear up before moving forward as she wanted to follow her mother. Mariah sigh as she look over her shoulder as she knew that her daughter is trying to follow her. Her daughter is so stubborn and will refuse not to leave her side.

"Diamond. . .you cannot come. . . .but promise me. . . promise me never give up." Mariah asked her daughter softly with a soft smile to her daughter. Diamond, having no point to stop her mother leaving making her sigh." i. . . .i promise." she promised making her mother smile and hug her." I love you my precious gem." Mariah said softly making Diamond smile sadly and hug back." I love you mother. . . . . " she said softly to her.

Next day, its time for the departure. Diamond watch her mother hop on the ship with the other guardian warriors making her sigh sadly as Turqoise place his hand on her shoulder softly to comfort her. Mariah turn one last time as she look at her daughter one last time before smiling and wave good bye to her daughter making Diamond smile back sadly and wave good bye to her mother.

Once the ship doors close up as the ship began to lift up and left. Diamond watch the ship go with a tear fall down on her face. "I love you mom. . . .please come back." she said softly while watching the ship disappeared from her sight.

Diamond continued waiting for her mother to come back for many days, weeks, and months. Watching up at the sky in hopes to spot a ship. But nothing. .

Years have passed as Diamond grown into a beautiful adult. Standing at the ship dock as she look up at the sky again to find the ship but couldnt making her frown once more." Diamond." She turn her head around as Emerald walk towards to her and stand next to her." You're still waiting for your mother to come back??" Emerald asked her gently as she looks at her." Yeah. . . . .i just. . .miss her." Diamond answered as she look up again.

Emerald frown softly before placing her hand on Diamond's shoulder." Have faith Diamond. Im sure your mother will come back." Emerald said softly making Diamond look at her and smile thankfully at her. Then both of them heard a loud crash making them look over and saw Ruby, who had Jasper in a choked hold as she shook him furiously angrily while Turquoise tried to stop them while Obsidian just laugh at that situation in front of him.

Diamond blink in surprise while Emerald just face palm and muttered as she march her way towards to them to separated the two of them. Diamond smile before looking back at the sky once more then decided to help Emerald out. But she stop when she spot something in the corner of her eye. She turn to look up again before she spot something. She gasp as the ship appeared, flying passed her and her friends heads as it headed towards the flying dock.

"They're back. . . ." muttered Ruby as Diamond quickly run in hopes to greet her mother. Once she arrive, she saw only few guardian warriors came out of the ship. Like 36 guardian warriors came out. Some family reunited with the others in joy and happiness while others cried when they couldnt find their love ones among the returning Guardian warriors.

"Strange. . .why only 36 of them left??? there were like 700 of them left but they came back. . . ."Quartz trail off as Jasper finished her words." Came back only 36 left. . . . " Diamond ignored her friends as she search to find her mother among the 36 returning guardian warriors. . . but she couldnt making her frown. 'where is she?? she promise me that she'll come back.' she thought before she froze when Council Celia came walking towards to her while holding something that was wrapped around with a cloth.

"It's council Celia." whispered Turquoise said softly to the others without taking his eyes off the council member." Diamond??" council celia asked as Diamond step forward. "yes?? is mother here???" she asked the council with worried look as Council Celia gave her a sad look as she slowly hand her the clothed weapon." Im sorry. . . .. . .for you lost Diamond. . . .Mariah. . . .is. . . .dead. . ." Council Celia said softly as the cloth move to reveal Mariah's polearm weapon. Her friends gasp in horror after hearing the news before looking at Diamond, who froze in shock and horror.

Diamond felt the world around her froze upon hearing the words out of Council Celia's mouth. Her mother, Mariah, is dead. . . "no . . . . . . .nononononononononononono! she promise!!" she wailed as she fall down on her knees and clutch the weapon close to her. Tears stream down to her face as she cried, her friends kneel beside her and did their best to comfort their distrust friend. Council Celia kneel down as well as she comfort the distress and sadden child of Mariah.

"Im sorry Diamond. . . . .im sorry." Council celia apologize to her as Diamond continued to wail and cried while holding her mother's weapon close. Her cries made everyone who were watching, felt their heart break as they look away while the remaining 36 look sadden and guilty. Especially one of them, who look much guilt and look away. Wanting to say something to her but something prevents her from telling Diamond about what happen to her mother.

"MAMA!!" Diamond scream as she cried and wail as her body shook as she cried while her friends comfort her by wrapping their arms around her, some of them were crying softly while others look sadden and whispered comforting words to her.
