*One month after the funeral*
That was without a doubt, the hardest thing I've had to do. We were sitting in an airport terminal getting ready to board our plane back to Australia. We have about 2 weeks left of our vacation there and then it was back to how it used to be. Well, not technically. Once we get back to Australia, the boys and I are going to talk to Simon about having me live with them while they're touring. In a way, I was looking forward to living with Liam and the boys, but on the other hand, I'm not sure if I'd like being uprooted from my life and my friends. One of the positives is that I would get to see Harry all the time. It will definitely be a true test to how strong we are as a couple. Seeing how supportive he's been through this leaves me very confident about how we'd be during that time.
"Flight 291 to Australia is now boarding." A monotone voice sounded over the loudspeaker. It's about time. One of my least favorite things about airports are these uncomfortable blue plastic chairs. After about 10 minutes of sitting on them, my butt goes numb. The four of us stand up and gather our carry-on bags, since they already took our actual luggage. I followed closely behind Harry until we reached the plane. Liam and Danielle took their seats across the aisle from us as Harry put my carry-on bag in the overhead compartment. I sat down next to him and reached for the safety belt that I knew I would be reminded of right before take-off. About 35-40 more people came on after us. One girl caught my eye. She was probably around 13 or 14 and had a One Direction t-shirt on. How she didn't see any of us was completely beyond me. She walked past us and I turned to Harry.
"Did you see her shirt?" He looked behind us at the girl as she sat down about 8 rows back.
"Yeah, my face is on it." He smiled to himself. "How did she not notice us sitting here?" He looked over at me.
"I honestly have no clue. I have an idea though."
"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen." The flight attendant said over the speaker. "As we prepare for take-off, I would just like to remind you to make sure you buckle your safety belt and turn all electronics off." She sounded tired like she's said the same thing 8 million times. Well, she is a flight attendant, so she probably has. Not long after, the plane began moving. I held on to Harry's arm and he chuckled quietly to himself and kissed my temple.
"Don't laugh! I hate this part." I whisper-shouted as he rubbed my arm.
"Don't worry, I'll protect you if anything happens." Once we were in the air, the flight attendant came on the loudspeaker again. This time, she told us that it was safe for us to unbuckle our safety belts and get up if we had to. I began to stand up and Harry looked at me. "Where are you going?" I told him about the idea I had earlier and he nodded and turned to tell Liam and Danielle. I began walking back to where the girl was sitting.
"Excuse me?" She looked up at me. "What's your name?"
"Uhm, Ellie." She seemed unsure and slightly confused.
"Oh, I like that name. Well Ellie, if you don't mind, there are some people that I would like to introduce you to. I'll be back in just one second." She looked at me and nodded, still unsure. I walked back up to where I was sitting and tapped Harry on the shoulder. He nodded and instructed Liam and Danielle to follow us. Once the girl saw me return, her eyes lit up.
"No way. I thought I knew you from somewhere." She looked at me.
"Me?" I tilted my head."Yeah, you're Harry's girlfriend." I smiled to myself and nodded.
"That's me."
"If you don't mind me saying, you're extremely pretty and I can see why Harry always blushes when your name is mentioned." I looked at Harry and his cheeks were turning a light shade of pink. "He is lucky to have someone like you." She smiled at me.
