Chapter 13

By the time we finished watching all of the movies, it was around 6:45pm. My leg was still a little sore but for the most part, it felt better, thanks to the healing gel they put on it. Louis stood up and began walking to the kitchen. He must’ve been looking through the cabinets for something because I could hear him rustling. Then the fridge opened. What was he doing? I began to stand up to go see but Harry grabbed my arm.

“Are you ok, babe?” He gestured to my leg.

“Yeah. I’m going to go see what he’s doing. I’ll be right back.” He smiled up at me as I maneuvered around everyone. When I entered the kitchen, Louis had 10 cups sitting on the counter. I cocked my head when he looked at me.

“Hey Ash. How’re you feeling?” He walked over and helped me to the counter, even though I reassured him several times that I could walk on my own. I sat down at the counter and watched him.

“Eh, I’m feeling better. Still a little on edge though. I just feel creeped knowing that he’s still around here somewhere.” I sighed. Louis stopped what he was doing and looked at me.

“Ashleigh, Liam is my best friend, and you’re his little sister. I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say that Andrew will never come near you again. I promise.” He walked over and hugged me. All of the bandmates seemed like older brothers to me. It was such a great feeling knowing I had so many people that cared about me.

“Thanks Louis. I love you guys. You’re like a second family to me.” I smiled at him as he hugged me again. “So, what are you doing with the cups?” I pointed at the 10 cups that were sitting in a row on the counter.

“I think I’m going to make everybody some malts.” He said as he walked to the freezer to grab the ice cream. “Shit.” He looked around the freezer and moved things around before closing it.

“What’s up?” I looked at him.

“We’re out of ice cream. Wanna run to the grocery store?” He looked at me, then at my leg.

“Yeah. We can do that. I’ll let everyone know we’re going.”

“Sounds good.” He stated as he went to get shoes. I walked out in the living room where everybody was just talking.

“So, Louis and I are going to the store to get some stuff. Does anyone want to come with?” Obviously Harry was the first one to stand up. Then everyone followed. Well ok, I guess we’re making it a full group shopping trip. I smiled as everyone went to grab their shoes. Harry came back with his on and a pair of flip-flops for me.

“Here ya go. You ready?” He smiled down at me and put his arm around my waist. I smiled and laughed a little. He cocked his head at me and smirked. “What’s so funny?” He asked, still smirking.

“Oh, nothing.” I giggled as I walked outside to meet Louis and everyone else. Zayn decided that he would drive and Louis would ride in the passenger seat. Everyone else piled in the back of the van since that was basically the only vehicle we had that was readily available. Everyone made conversation until we reached the grocery store. Thankfully it wasn’t too far from the house but other people around here don’t need to know that.
