Little Miss Payne (On Hiatus)

Chapter 9

As Harry and I broke apart, he just smiled down at me. His hands were still on my waist as mine were still on his chest. I immediately pushed him away when I heard a cough coming from the door way. Zayn was standing there smirking at us.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" I immediately smiled and turned around, trying to find something on the counter to keep my attention so Zayn wouldn't notice.

"Shut up Zayn." Harry laughed. Wait. What if Liam finds out? Oh crap. Zayn grabbed a water bottle out of the fridge and walked toward the exit of the kitchen, turning and winking at us before he left. I looked at Harry and blushed. He just shrugged and walked over by me.

"Harry, what if he tells Liam?" I was now slightly nervous. How would Liam react if he knew I was just practically making out with his bandmate in the kitchen?

"You'll be fine, love. Liam won't get angry." He reassured me, resting his hand on the bottom of my back.

"Are you sure? Liam's extremely protective of me." Harry wasn't having it.

"Don't make me kiss you again to shut you up." He smirked down at me. As tempting as it was, I couldn't. I just laughed and decided to go in the living room and hangout with everyone. When I walked in, Zayn looked at me and raised his eyebrows. I glared at him, signaling him not to say anything. I sat down next to Niall and noticed he was texting someone. Scarlet? Who's Scarlet? I'll have to ask him about it later. As soon as he noticed I was looking, he locked his phone and put it in his pocket. I smiled, reassuring him that I didn't see anything and he nodded, looking back towards the group.

"So what should we do guys?" Louis announced, after a while of silence. Who would have ever thought that it would be quiet in a beach house full of boys and their girlfriends.

"How about we go night swimming?" Harry suggested as he walked into the living room, also holding a bottle of water.

"Sounds like a plan to me." Niall stated, everyone else agreeing. Everyone got up to get changed and I walked up to my room to decide what swimsuit I was going to wear. I decided on a white swimsuit with black and pink polka dots. When I changed, I walked downstairs and went outside to be met with a bunch of shirtless guys. My eyes immediately went to Harry and I just smirked at him. The girls finally came outside and Louis scanned the coastline.

"What's that over there?" He pointed to a land formation and Liam immediately spoke.

"Mate, that's a jetty. You've jumped off of those before." He chuckled and Louis just shrugged.

"Well, it's in the distance, I couldn't make it out clearly. Let's go over to it." We all agreed and I walked with Eleanor, Danielle, and Perrie while the guys walked together, occasionally smacking each other. They were strange. I laughed to myself and Eleanor caught me and questioned.

"What'cha laughing about? Oh and by the way, what were you and Harry doing in the kitchen before?" The other girls looked at me and my face went bright red.

"Uhm. I don't know what you're talking about?" It came out more like a question and she stopped walking and put her hands on her hips.

"Mhm. You sure about that? Girl, spill." I started laughing and then I finally told her.

"We were splashing each other with water and then he pinned me against the counter and kissed me." All of their mouths formed a perfect 'o'.

Now it was Danielle's turn to question me. "Oh girl, do you like him?" I noticed we were already on the jetty so what did I do? I totally avoided the question. When she asked, I smirked at her, and ran towards the edge of the jetty, through the boys and dove off the edge, executing a perfect dive. The water was warm and when I looked up, I saw everyone standing on the edge looking down at me, some with surprised faces, some with happy faces, and Danielle had raised her brows. I swam to the edge and walked back up to the top of the jetty. The boys started jumping and I walked up and stood next to Danielle.

"So I take that as a yes?" She smirked at me. I nodded and she hugged me. "Oh get it girl!" She shouted. Liam was right behind us when she had her outburst.

"Who's getting what now?" He raised one of his eyebrows. I looked at the girls and then towards the water, they caught onto what I was doing. We all began running at the same time and jumped over the edge, into the water. When we reached the top, Zayn began to speak.

"How about we do trick jumps?" We all agreed and the boys agreed to go first. They all ran and did front flips. When they reached the top, we all just shrugged to tease them.

"Ehh. It was okay I guess." Perrie giggled. Zayn just smirked at her and began running towards her. Before she could do anything, he wrapped his arms around her and jumped over the edge, bringing her with. Liam laughed and ended up doing the same thing with Danielle, and Louis with Eleanor. With how everything was going, I figured Harry was going to do it to me as well and I didn't want Niall to be alone, so I walked over to them and grabbed both of their arms, and began running for the edge. Once I came back up and reached the surface, I looked between Niall and Harry and busted out laughing. Just then, I felt someone enter the water about 6 feet away from me. It was Louis. Everyone else began jumping and we all ended up in the water together. We all swam to the edge and sat in the sand.

"We should play truth or dare!" Niall shouted, earning a chorus of yes's from everyone. We all sat in a circle and I was between Louis and Zayn. Harry was sat across from me. He kept smirking at me and I couldn't help but smile.

"So who's first?" Niall questioned the group. Zayn spoke up.

"I'll go first." Shit. Zayn better not bring up the thing with me and Harry from earlier today. I don't even want to think about how Liam would react if he found out. Zayn eyed Harry and then eyed Liam. Shit. Shit, shit, shit.
