Regulus sat frozen, his chest tight as he stared at the flickering screen. The movie was cruelly hinting at an unimaginable horror—his daughter, gone at birth. The scene dragged on, yet time stood still.

In the dim glow of the screen, Walburga and Orion Black sat motionless, their expressions carved from stone. They watched their son without a word, their silence louder than any attempt at comfort.

Across the room, Sirius leaned slightly forward, peering at his younger brother. He opened his mouth, as if to speak, but stopped himself just as quickly. Their bond wasn't the same anymore—what could he say that Regulus would even hear?

The tension fractured as the screen abruptly shifted.

The camera jolts forward with purpose. A door flies open, slamming against the wall and revealing the dark confines of a cupboard. The angle shifts, and there he is—Harry. Ten years old. Still sleeping. The scene is quiet, too quiet. A flicker of light spills in from outside the door, illuminating his cramped space under the stairs.

James Potter shot to his feet, disbelief and fury twisting his face. "A cupboard? He's sleeping in a cupboard under the stairs?!" The words burst from him like a crack of thunder.

Before he could rush at Dumbledore, Remus, Sirius, and Peter grabbed him, their hands firm but desperate. "James, stop!" Sirius hissed, as James fought against their grip.

"Are you serious, Dumbledore?" James roared, his voice echoing across the room. "A cupboard? That's where my son lives?"

Beside him, Lily was as pale as parchment. Her voice trembled with rage. "Petunia... I knew we weren't close, but this—this is unforgivable."

Remus tightened his hold on James, his voice low and urgent. "James, please! That isn't Harry, it's a replica. Remember."

James turned sharply, eyes blazing. "It doesn't matter! Don't you see, Remus? If Lucia hadn't taken him, that's where he'd be. It's the principle."
