Leia half-expected to wake up in her own bed in her room and discover that all of it was a dream. Luckily, she didn't, she woke up in her dorm instead. Looking at the clock, it was 7:16 a.m. Because it was quite early and Phoebe was still sleeping, she decided to take a shower. She grabbed the clothes she needed from her closet and entered the bathroom.
To Leia's surprise, the bathroom was incredibly modern and stylish. It featured a glossy tile flooring that gleamed under the bright lights. The walls were impeccably white, creating a clean and chic backdrop. Dominating the space was a generously sized walk-in shower with sleek glass doors. Adjacent to the shower, there was a pristine toilet and two luxurious sinks with polished chrome fixtures. The attention to detail in the design was evident, making Leia feel like she had stepped into a five-star hotel bathroom.
She started brushing her teeth and when she was done, she locked the door and turned on the shower. She waited for the water to warm up while getting out of her pj's. It felt extremely refreshing when the hot water touched her body. It had been a couple of days since she last showered, but it felt way longer. When she was done, she got dressed. Today she decided to wear a white T-shirt that was covered up by her baby-blue sweater and a pair of ripped jeans. When she came out of the bathroom, still drying her hair, she saw that Phoebe was awake, once again reading in her book, and her hair still in braids.
'Good morning, sorry, did I wake you?', Leia asked.
'Hey, don't worry, you didn't. I usually wake up around 7:30 on weekends.'
'Oh, okay then. What are you reading?'
'It's a book about my elemental power, water. There are some really cool tricks in here, I'm thinking about trying one of them out later today.'
'I would love to see that,' Leia said with a small smile.
'Anyway, I'm also going to take a shower,' Phoebe said while closing her book and getting up.
'Oh yeah,' she added 'Your books for Mystic Brews and Balms and Elemental Beasts and Beings have been delivered to our dorm. I put them on that desk over there.'
And with that, she disappeared into the bathroom.
Leia walked over to the two books, one was titled Potion-making For Beginners and the other one was called The Greatest Creatures Of All Time. She decided to look into The Greatest Creatures Of All Time because that was what she was most interested in. On the first page was the index, with all the creatures that were mentioned in the book. She chose to read all about Alicorns. She found out that they are very intelligent, loyal, and friendly creatures. Amongst the Equestrians, they are the most powerful. Alicorns can apparently live for thousands of years, which seemed crazy to Leia. The thought of Aella crossed her mind. How old would she be? She could be two thousand years old, for all she knew.
Eventually, Phoebe came out of the bathroom, and her hair was loose. She had gorgeous straight hair.
'Oh my god, your hair is stunning! You should wear it down more often', Leia told her.
'Thanks, but I'm used to my braids. They give me a sense of safety, you know? Could you help me braid it again?'
'Sure, but I stand with what I said. I still want you to wear it down.'
It was no use trying to convince Phoebe, she was sure she wanted her hair in braids. When they were done, it was already almost half past eight.
They went down to breakfast and sat in their usual spot. Today Leia ate some cereal and Phoebe had fruit, yogurt, and oatmeal. They were just about to leave when Elias came up to them.
