When Leia entered the classroom in which she would have Inferno Sorcery, people were already practicing their magic in duels. Her eyes landed on the familiar dark brown curls, Elias. She completely forgot he would also be in this class. He was the only one practicing alone since the amount of students were uneven.
'Ms. Harrison, please come forward.'
Leia was so engrossed in the classroom activities that she completely missed the striking figure of the tall woman standing among the students. The woman was clad in vibrant crimson robes that perfectly complemented her fiery red hair. Even her eyes matched the exact shade of her robes, creating a mesmerizing and unforgettable sight. She was staring at Leia, not a hint of emotion on her face. It gave her the chills.
She gulped, and slowly started walking towards the professor, trying her best to ignore the stares of all the students. When she reached her, the woman looked down at her and said:
'You and I will duel, that way I can evaluate your skills and make you work on your weak points.'
Duel?! Leia didn't even know anything about the fire ability, and now she was supposed to duel a professor? Professor Flarewind walked towards the other side of the room, turned around, and held out her hands in front of her.
'Ready?', she asked.
'Definitely not', Leia thought, but she had to be ready. How else would she be able to defend herself against the dueling skills of a professor? It didn't help that she just came from Earthly Enchantments, they are the complete opposite courses, so she won't be able to use anything she learned there right now.
'Yes', Leia responded, even though this was a lie.
Professor Flarewind ignited her fists on fire and shot some kind of fire spear right at the girl's face. Suddenly, Leia's reflexes kicked in and she caught the spear with her bare hands. She thought she saw a look of surprise on the professor's face, but it quickly disappeared when she shot multiple balls of fire at Leia. She didn't know how she did it, but suddenly a shield made out of water appeared in front of her and the fireballs disappeared the second they made contact with it. Still holding the spear, she threw it with all the power she could muster. Professor Flarewind had to act quickly due to the speed it was coming, so she threw another fireball. This time it was aimed at the spear and it knocked it off its course. At this moment of distraction, Leia ignited her fists as well and shot six fireballs at the woman in front of her. The professor, still gazing at the spear, heard the gasps of the students and turned around just in time to witness the six fireballs coming straight at her. She quickly created some sort of protective field around her that appeared just in time. When the fireballs collided with it, they disappeared.
'Okay, that's enough.'
Leia was surprised by her own power, she didn't know how she did all of that. It all just came kind of naturally.
'Ms. Harrison, you did okay but still have things to work on. You will practice with Mr. Whitefire.'
Oh god no, Elias? It was only her third lesson and it was already turning into hell.
'Can't she work with someone else? I work better alone', Elias said.
'No Mr. Whitefire, you have to work on your defense.'
'But-'
'I don't want to hear any more complaints! Everybody, back to work!'
Everyone started spreading across the classroom in groups of two, not wanting to get in trouble with Professor Flarewind.
