The punching bag couldn't take the sheer strength of the woman slamming her boxing gloves against it, tumbling all around at the great impact. It's assaulter wore a black tank top along with shorts, some sneakers, and a helmet, and she had made circles around the inanimate objects, sucker punching it until she saw dents.

It helped to think about the events that pissed her off. Got the mood going, and it made her into a better fighter. She thought about how her father's life had been ripped, pulled, stolen from him even, and how that left a permanent mental scar on her brain. Her breath always got heavier when she did this.

And ooh, if she ever got the chance to meet him again, she'd sob like never before. She'd run straight to his arms and give him the biggest hug she could muster, apologizing over and over again for not being the perfect daughter, and he'd say, "It's okay, baby. You're still and will always be my little girl."

Too damn bad she's in purgatory permanently and he's in heaven which means that chances are that to slim to zero, which also means she could've followed what Bierce wanted and possibly made it up there with him but fell in love instead and—

"HAAH!"

With one final blow, the punching bag was ready for relief, the string holding it up snapping in half and forcing it to fall to the floor. She managed to land a fisting so hard the face of the thing had scratches with stuffing leaking out. She took some needed deep breaths before falling to her knees and running her fingers through her short, brunette hair.

Conveniently, Lucky arrived to where she was. He knocked the door.

"Come in!" She yelled.

Lucky, almost worriedly, came through the entrance, an almost stern look plastered on his face. "You okay, princess?"

He walked forward until he noticed the bag on the ground, which would've been long dead if it were human. "Damn, you beat the shit out of that thing! What for?"

She didn't answer. However, she had involuntarily pinched the skin making up her arm, feeling slightly ashamed at the rather large size of it.

Lucky kneeled down to her. "Listen, this isn't the first time I've seen ya do this. I know ya stay up late crunchin' time running or joggin' around the castle. Why?"

Lucky's eyes searched his partner's for the answer, and to her nervousness, she fabricated a story. "Well...sometimes mortals can be too fast for me, and....and I need to get my game up! Yeah! Wouldn't want to risk letting them get away, right?"

"Don't ya always take care of 'em though? I mean, ya always manage to kill 'em before I do, I've been jealous since!"

"Well I still need to get a little run in every now and then just in case!" She yelled defensively, pulling the end of her top downwards. She regretted raising her voice at him in an instant, but refused to open her mouth to apologize. Damn, did she feel stupid.

Lucky sighed. "Toots, I ain't tryna call ya no liar, but I really don't believe that's why. It's just not like ya, no, this is a new habit. So I'm gonna ask again, tell me why you've been doin' this."

Tears welded up in the girl's eyes as she looked at the rabbit. He jumped and frowned, startled by the sudden shift in emotion. "Gee, I didn't mean to hurt ya, I just—"

"It's fine....It's fine." She rolled her eyes, hoping the water would travel back under her lids. "I just don't wanna seem like a big baby."

"You can spit it out to me. I won't ridicule ya or anything," He promised, which most would believe is a lie as he was so fond of handing out insults to the next poor soul that tried to cross him. But he meant that now, for E and for E only.
