Novalie's totebag was packed to the brim. almost everything was in there. João had invited her over to hang out and she didn't hesitate to say yes. Nolan was somewhere in the house , Theo went with Noa to an animal shelter and last time Nova checked, Sage was also sleeping.

she had nothing to do and João had told her that he made some food so that was an immediate yes. the girl had early meetings with her manager and after that was done , she immediately packed her bag.

the singer walked down the stairs , humming something that she didn't even recognise. the melody was stuck in her head since yesterday.

she smelt the delicious aroma of food and figured Nolan or Sage was making something to eat. she put her bag on the couch before she walked into the direction of the kitchen.

the closer she got , the more clearer she heard their bickering voices and sighed. they were awake and arguing again.

"i swear if you don't put that in, i'm shoving this spatula so far up your ass , Nolan Windsor" Nova heard Sage's voice.

"hello" she interrupted. "hello , can you please tell your brother to go eat shit and leave me alone?" Sage asked as she glared at Nolan who smirked. "how kinky of you, Sage" he replied and she threw the spatula at him, only for him to duck just in time.

"can you two stop arguing for just one second?" Nova asked and walked towards the fridge to get out a can of redbull.

"no ,no we cannot" they said in sync and then looked at each other with disgusted faces when they realised.

Nova shook her head and took a sip. "oh , Sage when i come back , there's something i wanna talk to you about" she began. "me and Cora talked this morning about it."

Sage nodded her head. "wait , where are you off to?" she questioned. jus then , there was a hoot of a car. Nolan raised a brow and looked through the window to see the familiar car of João.

meanwhile , Novalie rushed to get her totebag. "is that João?" Nolan asked confused. "yes , be back in a couple of hours,bye!" Nova said and rushed towards the front door.

"don't kill each other" she yelled back.

"i'm already tempted to" Sage replied.

Novalie closed the front door and walked towards João's car. she saw him sitting in the driver's seat , scrolling through his phone with his baseball cap on.

she got into the passenger seat and closed the door behind her. João switched his phone off and looked at her , a wide smile began gracing his lips. "hello"

Nova put her bag in the backseat and strapped the seatbelt over her body. she turned to look at him. "hi, you look cheery"

João put the car in drive and drove out of the driveway of Nolan's house. "i can't just be happy that my best friend is hanging out with me?" he smirked and glanced at her.

"i'm your best friend? we already have labels now?" she teased him back. "we're like...the bestest of friends now" he said and took a few turns.

"right" she laughed. he smiled. "let's go get some coffee?" he questioned. the girl nodded her head at his statement. she would never say no for coffee.
