The Taylor's Loft - Rooftop Terrace

Softly strumming her guitar, Jordan hums along with no particular song in minds. Blushing, she smiles to herself as she remembers the words that Emily whispered.

Unbeknownst to Emily, her partial confession that she thought only she could hear was picked up by Jordan. At the time, she was so shocked that she could only smile. Even now, she can't remember if she had even said goodbye when they parted.

The pinging of her phone woke her up from her stupor. Looking, it was a message from Mia inviting her to come down to the practice studio.

Responding that she'd be there soon, Jordan packed away the guitar and prepared to leave. Checking her phone, Jordan ummed and aahhed about whether to send a Emily a message.

What do I even say? she wondered.

"How's the new song coming along," quizzed Mia. Jordan stopped her strumming, "I've only got this so far."

Picking the individual notes on the guitar, Jordan sings;

I've watched you from a distance, in the softest light,
Your laughter like a melody, it gets me through the night,
But when you look my way, I can't find the words to say,
The love I'm holding in my heart, afraid it'll slip away.

If I sing these words to you, will you hear my heart?
Every note, every line, is where my feelings start,
Do you see it in my eyes, or feel it in this song?
I'm hoping that you love me too, that you've loved me all along.

Slowly opening her eyes, the image of Emily slowly fades as she looks to Mia hopefully. Mia gives her a slow clap, "That was, wonderful. I can really feel the longing in it. What was the inspiration for it?"

Jordan looked at the guitar and blushed. Mia grinned, "No way?! Really? Emily?"

"I don't know why? She just.... has this effect on me..."

"O.M.G! The Jordan Taylor! Finally has a crush on someone?" Mia teased. "For as long as I've known you, I don't think I've ever seen you like this. But, isn't Emily straight?"

"I... I don't think so?" not 100% sure myself.

"But, I thought it was all fake? Isn't it?" Mia wondered.
"Well it is. Or at least was?" I said still sounding unsure.

"It was?" said Mia raising an eyebrow. "What makes you say that?"

"Well, she kinda said that she thinks she might love me.."

"She WHAT!?" Mia screamed. "She loves you!? What did you say?"

The rest of the band turned in our direction. "Who loves who now?" they said as a group. I glared at Mia as my face turned red. What happened to the quiet girl who doesn't really say much??

"What did you say?" Mia urged, ignoring the others. "Did you tell her something back?'

"I just smiled. I was shocked!" I grinned. "Besides, she only whispered it. So I don't think she intended for me to hear it."

"So?"

"So?....What?"

"So? Do you?" Mia smirked.

"Do I? Do I what?"

Mia groaning, "Do you like her? In that way?"

"Ummm..." I could only blush under Mia's questioning. Did I like Em? Sure...Love? Well...

"O.M.G! You do!" squealed Mia.

"She does what?" said Zoe, our lead guitarist, leaning on my shoulder.
