"Baby, answer your phone." I said with my eyes closed

The phone has been ringing back to back for like 15 minutes. Every time I'd get into a deep sleep, it rang again. How could he not hear it?

"That's yo' shit." He grumbled, turning on his side

I groaned before wiping my eyes as I grabbed my phone. I answered without even clearly seeing the caller ID, that light was too bright right now.

"Hello?"

"Hey, I was just calling to see how everything was with you and the baby." Jacob's voice came through my line. I checked the caller ID and saw it was an unsaved number.

I blocked him weeks ago, why is he calling from different numbers and shit?

"Jacob? What the hell are you doing calling me at 2am?" I sat up

Chris's eyes popped open and he looked at me.

"I told you, I wanted to make sure you and the baby were ok." He repeated

"Look, I blocked you for a reason. Stop calling my phone, and definitely stop mentioning my child. That shit is weird and-"

Chris took the phone from my hand "And could get you fuckin' killed. I told yo' ass to leave her alone." He now sat on the edge of the bed

I let him handle the situation while I rubbed my belly. Baby girl was kicking up a storm.

"It's a promise nigga. Call her again and see what happen." Chris said before ending the call and tossing the phone on the bed "You gettin' a new number tomorrow."

I nodded, standing between his legs.

"And you working from home. If you need to go anywhere let me know and I'll handle it."

"Ok." I winced at the hard jabs going on on my protruding belly

"Lil' mama good?" He smiled, placing his hand on my stomach

"She just gets so hyped up when she hears you." I chuckled

"She know her pops don't play 'dat. Ain't that right lil' no name?" He joked, talking to my belly

I pursed my lips "Really Chris?"

His hands rested on my hips "What? She ain't got no name."

I scoffed and moved from his embrace.

"Where you going?"

"To pee." I walked toward the bathroom

"You so cute waddling away."

I turned around and gave him a fake smile before sticking my middle finger up and closing the bathroom door.

"You look beautiful." Chris pulled in front of the restaurant

"I don't feel like it." I adjusted my dress
