"I rubbed the sleep from my eyes, my mouth parched from the excessive drinking last night. My best friend, Kartik had insisted I crash at his place after we'd had one too many. I slowly got out of bed and made my way to the kitchen to grab a glass of water"

As I entered the kitchen, I noticed a noise coming from the living room. At first, I thought i was just hearing sounds, but then I heard it again - the sound of someone trying to sneak in quietly.

I turned to the corner and that's when I saw her - Kartik's sister, Janvi.
She was tiptoeing towards the stairs, her heels in her hand, trying her best to be quiet, but failing miserably. I raised an eyebrow, curious about what she was up to. Where had she been? And why was she sneaking in at this hour? I leaned against the kitchen counter, watching her with interest, wondering what excuse she'd come up with when she saw me standing there."

Then she saw me ' What are you doing here' she said tryin to hide her panic but failing to do so.

I looked at her "Hey, I could ask you the same thing. Sneaking in late, huh?"

Her face turned bright red as she tried to come up with an excuse. "I, uh, I was just... out for some breath. Yeah that's it' she said not making any sense immediately regretting what came out of her mouth.

I came in front of her "like this ?" I signalled to the dress she's wearing not to forget the heels she's holding in her hands.

"Please, you can't tell bhai about this," she begged, her voice trembling. "I lied i went to the club. My friend insisted you know? And I didn't want bhai to worry."

( Bhai - Brother)

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued by her confession. I could see the fear in her eyes, the fear of being found out and disappointing her brother.

"And why should I keep your secret?" I asked, playing along. I was enjoying the upper hand, but at the same time, I was curious about what she would do to keep me quiet.

"Please, just don't tell him. He'll kill me. I'll do anything, just...please." Her voice cracked.

"Well, I'm not sure if I'm willing to keep your secret for free," I said, my voice light and teasing. "You see, You've always troubled me. I think it's my time now"

Her eyes narrowed, suspicious of my response. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice wary.

I said, "I think it's only fair that you owe me one. And I'll collect on that favor...at a later time."

Her face scrunched up in frustration. "What do you want me to do? Just tell me!" she exclaimed, her voice rising.

I grinned mischievously, enjoying the power dynamic. " Vo to me aapko waqt aane par hi batauga ki muche kya chahiye"
( That I'll tell you at the right time )
