This part is unedited. Ignore any mistakes.I called gauri so that she could help me pack my things. " So you're going to stay there with him" she said.
"W..what, with him. This sounds so wrong" I laughed.
"Sorry sorry i mean with his family" she corrected.
I nodded. "Give me those books". I pointed at the books covered in brown paper.
She nodded and made her way to the table. As she picked up the books, I could sense her curiosity piqued. "What books are these?" she asked, trying to peek beneath the paper coverings.
I chuckled, knowing what was beneath. "Just some reading material," I said nonchalantly.
Her eyes widened as she opened the first book, revealing the cover of "The Predator". "Holy moly... you're taking these with you?" she exclaimed, passing the book to me. " 'The King of Wrath' and 'Twisted Series'? What if someone sees them?"
I shrugged, taking the book from her. "No worries, koi dekhe na tabhi to I've covered them," I said with a grin, knowing the paper coverings would conceal the titles.
She raised an eyebrow and shook her head, "You and your obsession with taking your books everywhere you go," she said with a smile. "I swear, you'd take them to your grave if you could."
I playfully rolled my eyes, "I'll be glad to do that. you know me too well. Books are my comfort, my escape. I need them with me, especially if his family came out to be the same like him then i need to have something to survive there." I carefully placed the books in a separate box, making sure they were secure.
She laughed "Now I want to meet him too, to see what's so terrible about him that you hate him so much," she said.
I grinned mischievously. "Then come tomorrow, or you can even stay here tonight. We'll drop you off tomorrow" I said excitedly.
I clapped my hands together "Yes! It'll be so much fun."
Her face fell, "But Janvi, my parents will never agree to that. You know They're super strict about me."
I waved my hand dismissively, "Don't worry, I'll talk to them. I'll convince them to let you stay. You're going to stay. It's settled."
She smiled, knowing better than to argue with me when I'm determined. "Okay, fine. Convince them."
I smiled back "Now, let's finish packing, and then we can relax. I was thinking we could watch that C-drama everyone's been raving about. It has great reviews, and we can watch it together."
Gauri's eyes lit up, "Ooh, which one?."
"Hidden love" i answered.
She nodded enthusiastically, "I've seen the trailers! It looked so good. Let's get packing done quickly so we can binge-watch tonight."
