"Bae."
"Yeah?" Mylachi looked at him and he slowly made his way into the room. Honey laid in her lap, belly up, getting rubbed on. Mylachi was three weeks post her abortion and was definitely showing it. She was grieving, and he knew she was. He also felt the same. But he told her she could change her mind. He wouldn't have been upset.
He really hoped she didn't do it because of his revelation and not her own. He was on the same page with her, he just voiced his own pessimistic concerns. He never meant to sway her into actually doing it. Xion actually really wanted to be a father. He made her scream it all the time.
"You good?" He sat beside her on the ottoman and took her in. She was posting less and hasn't gotten her maintenance done but still kept herself up. She was still clean just. . Not herself. Honey made it her mission to climb in his lap and he lifted her up, holding her as she licked his shoulder.
"Yes I'm fine, are you okay?"
Xion put his hand on his thigh and sat up. "You know I know you right?"
It took everything in Mylachi not to smile as he put Honey near his face, nestling into her fur. He acted as if she was only her dog, but he loved the animal just as much as she did, maybe even more.
"What you mean?"
"What you mean what I mean? I'm tryna know what's on your heart. You been hiding it lately. That's not like you."
"I'm fine, I promise. Just going through the motions."
"You want anything done? Wanna go out? Wanna do something? Wanna talk about it?"
