In early January, the school holidays began.
Aunt Wang, who a few days ago said that she had raised her daughter in vain, has started talking about her daughter coming home these days and has started to tidy up and clean the house.
I don’t know if it’s because she’s bored staying at home every day, but An An wants to go out and play every day. Now Jiang Rou’s visit to the neighbors isn’t enough to satisfy her. She turns her head to look at the other side of the street, wanting to go somewhere farther.
Jiang Rou took her to visit Zhou Jian's home that day. The weather had become much colder recently and it even snowed a few days ago. There were people cleaning the streets, so the roads were not slippery, but thick white snow could be seen on both sides. Children's footprints could be seen in some places, which were obviously left by naughty children who deliberately avoided walking on the main road.
Before going out, Jiang Rou wrapped the child in a thick coat, and then wrapped her in a small quilt. She put a pink knitted hat on her head. The hat was a bit big, and was bought by Li Xiao at the city mall. There was also a pair of small gloves. But the little girl didn't like to wear gloves. She wore a lot of winter clothes, and her hands were in the sleeves of her clothes, so she couldn't wear them.
It was a bit too much to wear all these. Even though the baby was only two months old, Jiang Rou was still very tired holding him in her arms. Fortunately, Zhou Jian's house was not far from her home. She only had to walk about two blocks to get there.
The little one was held in her arms and couldn't see much, but she was smart enough to know that she had come out, so she stretched her neck to look outside.
The family did have a stroller made by Li Xiao, but it didn't have a modern windshield. She was worried that the wind would make the child sick, and the road conditions were not very good now.
Jiang Rou was not in a hurry. Whenever she saw something interesting on the road, she would stop, change the position in which she hugged her, and then point it out to her.
For example, when passing by a restaurant and seeing a big yellow dog tied at the door, he would pick her up a little and say, "This is a dog. How does a dog bark? Woof woof."
The little fellow opened his big black eyes curiously, his chubby little face full of surprise.
The big yellow dog lying on the ground raised its head and glanced at the mother and daughter, then seemed bored and lay down again.
Jiang Rou carried the little girl away, but she didn't expect that she was reluctant to let her go. She twisted her head and tried to look back, screaming "ah ah" in her mouth.
It’s like she’s saying mom wants to see more.
Jiang Rou ignored her and continued walking with her in her arms.
The wall of Zhou Jian's yard was very low. When Jiang Rou arrived, she saw three-year-old Zhou Hong and several other children making snowmen in the yard. The children were all about the same age, and they didn't care that their cheeks and hands were frozen red. They were excitedly digging snow, and their sleeves and knees were all wet.
Several parents were sitting at the door eating melon seeds and chatting, without even looking at the children.
Finally, Zhou Hong was the one who had sharp eyes. He saw Jiang Rou coming over with the child in her arms, then he turned around and ran into the house, shouting, "Mom, Aunt Jiang is here."
It's much more lively than at other people's homes.
Wang Yan didn't react at first. She was in the kitchen taking the steamed sweet potatoes from the morning. They were not worth much. Her mother's family grew them and stored them in a cellar. Recently, the water in the river and pond was frozen, and there was no fishing. Her business stopped, and she simply lived in the county town.
