"Sorry, did I wake you up?" Naruto asked as he came in the room to grab his charger, and saw Sasuke rubbing his eyes. Sasuke shook his head slowly as he sat up.

"No, I couldn't sleep." He sighed as Naruto walked up to him, placing the back of his hand on Sasuke's forehead to check his temperature. "What are you doing awake at this time?"

The raven asked as he glanced at the clock, which read 2:18AM.

"I was finishing some assignments." Naruto said as he walked towards the door, "I'll bring you some water."

Naruto stepped out, leaving Sasuke alone in the dark room. The raven watched as the wind blew in the room, flowing the curtains.

"Here, let me know if you need anything." Naruto put down the water by the nightstand, he was about to walk away until he felt his hand being grabbed.

Naruto turned around to face Sasuke, not being able to see his face in the complete darkness of the room.

"Naruto, sit with me for a few minutes." He spoke softly, still holding onto Naruto's hand gently.

After a moment, Naruto sighed and took a seat in front of Sasuke, as he stared off in the darkness.

"Thank you for taking care of me," The raven began, "I know you think this is your fault but it's really not, I should've been more careful." Sasuke reassured the blond before continuing.

"I also know that you don't like me very much, and I don't blame you. I've been nothing but a dick to you in the past." He mumbled nervously. "Well.. I guess all I really wanted to say was that," he cleared his throat, "I'm sorry."

Naruto eyes widened a bit, he had just seen a side of Sasuke that he didn't think existed. The blond wasn't used to this at all, and he could tell neither was Sasuke.

Naruto wasn't going to punish Sasuke for being so aggressive, maybe the raven had his own issues. But he also wasn't going to forgive Sasuke easily.

And he most definitely, wasn't going to just let Sasuke get away with being a jerk. If Sasuke wanted his trust, he was going to earn it.

"I understand that you might not believe this coming out of my mouth, but know that I am not asking for any forgiveness or anything of that sort." Sasuke concluded, "I just want you to know that I'll change for you."

Naruto was thankful for the darkness because Sasuke wasn't able to see the proud smile plastered on the blond's face.

"Thank you for being honest with me, Sasuke. I really appreciate your apology, and I'm very proud of you for trying to improve yourself." Naruto said softly, as he gave Sasuke's hand a gentle squeeze. "But again, I don't think this is the time for us to reopen books from our past, maybe some other time we can see each other's point of views, but not now."

Sasuke knew Naruto was sincere with his words, he felt this weird excitement in him as he recalled the things Naruto had said. He understood that Naruto wasn't going to forgive Sasuke for technically cheating on him, but he was happy to know that the blond was giving him a chance to explain himself, but of course change comes within time.

"That aside, you should sleep." Naruto let go of Sasuke's hand as he got up from the bed "And don't worry about waking up early, it's the weekend tomorrow."
