3rd person POV. december 8th, 2014
there was a boy standing in front of pledis entertainment who looked around 13 years old. he was clutching his tote bag as he went inside the building. there, he met a lady at the front desk who was on the computer. "uh.. excuse me, miss?" the boy spoke quietly, trying his hardest to speak korean despite not being fluent.
the lady looked at the boy; her name tag said yang junghwa. "aigoo, please don't call me miss, you make me feel old.." she said with a smile. "ah! are you the trainee that came from japan?" the boy nodded, understanding a few words. "yes."
"ahh, let me see.. the ceo is currently in a meeting right now, so.. how about you go to your studio?" she suggested. "wait! i forgot to ask for your name, aigoo.. maybe i am getting old..." this made the younger boy chuckle. "i'm tadao. yusui tadao. it's okay, noona, you're not getting old yet," tadao spoke softly.
junghwa grinned at the boy. "well, tadao, nice to meet you, and welcome to korea. i have someone here to show you around a bit and to your studio because i'm too busy to do it myself," she said apologetically. this made tadao shake his head. "it's alright, thank you, noona," he said, smiling.
after a few minutes of getting to know junghwa, a man came to the front desk. "ah, junghwa, is this the one?" he asked, gesturing toward tadao. junghwa nodded. "mhm, he's also not very fluent yet, oppa, so maybe you can try speaking in japanese to him," she replied. the man hummed and smiled softly at tadao. "hi tadao, i'm dongmin. jung dongmin. you can call me hyung."
tadao nodded and bowed slightly to show respect. "okay, hyung," he said, smiling at the older man. this made junghwa and dongmin coo at tadao's cuteness. "so cute!" both junghwa and dongmin exclaimed at the same time, leaving tadao a bit confused. "ah, come on now. let me show you around and then take you to your studio, tadao-ah," dongmin said, grinning.
tadao nodded and waved goodbye to junghwa before following the man. dongmin showed tadao around so he wouldn't get lost. now they were in the elevator, talking with dongmin speaking some japanese, helping tadao learn new words, while tadao did the same, swapping japanese and korean. they were heading to tadao's studio when the elevator stopped at a random floor. the door opened, revealing a boy with long hair, like a girl.
the elevator was quiet for a few moments before tadao spoke up to the long-haired boy, "you have pretty hair." the boy turned around and smiled at tadao. "really? thank you." tadao nodded, feeling a bit more confident in his korean. "can i ask for your name? i don't want to mess up your name, hyung," he added.
"i'm jeonghan. yoon jeonghan," jeonghan said with a grin, gently grabbing tadao's hand and kissing it. "and who might you be?" tadao was a bit flustered by the older boy's actions but managed to speak. "tadao. yusui tadao. i just recently came from japan a few hours ago."
"tadao," jeonghan repeated, sounding out the name before grinning. "hm, nice to meet you, dao." tadao nodded with a smile. "likewise." then the elevator stopped. "come on, tadao. you can talk to your new friend later; he has practice to do," dongmin said awkwardly, having witnessed the whole interaction.
