I had to run to my meeting right after the morning incident

I had to run to my meeting right after the morning incident. But I felt terrible about being responsible for ruining miss Sengupta's shirt. Though it wasn't any of our fault yet she took the blame on herself and I felt guiltier seeing her almost crying face. I shouldn't have behaved the way I had and seeing the look on my face Martha asked

"Is something wrong sir?" Martha asked looking up from her MacBook.

"No just my guilty conscience" I said fixing my tie, even though it was in the perfect position .

"So you're still thinking about that incident in the hallway?" She asked still looking up from her MacBook.

"Yeah she just ruined my morning and my tux" I said making an annoyed face but deep inside I knew that my mornings had never been better .

"Stop blaming it all on that sweet child Dhanush" She said defending miss Sengupta.

"Met her twice and you're already taking her side. Wow I'm not even a little surprised" I said making a shocked face.

"You shouldn't be but I certainly am. After all these years I know you're not half as pissed as you're acting." She said with an irritated face as if she was fed-up with my act.

"You're just trying to act like a jerk which you aren't. So stop trying to come off as an asshole." Martha added.

"I thought women like jerks." I said with a cocky smile .

"Not the one you're dealing with" Martha replied.

"Does it really matter. Also call Mr. Chhabra and ask him to send a Ralph Lauren white waistcoat, size medium to her office" I said looking outside the car window .

"Okay now we're talking. I knew you weren't as cold-hearted as you act" Martha said pulling out her work cellphone.

"Yeah whatever" I said taking out my stencil from the car pouch and opening the notepad app on my phone.

I had just finished sending Martha the note I wanted to send with the waistcoat when the car pulled outside our office.

I stepped down from the car and gave Martha the instructions on how to send the note as we walked inside the office building and asked her to instruct the delivery boy to send a small yellow flower with the note.

TIME SKIP

It was afternoon by the time I finished all my meetings and asked Martha to bring  my lunch inside my cabin.

"Did she get the waistcoat on time?" I asked Martha as soon as she came inside my cabin.

I was too busy all morning to ask her and was waiting for this very moment.
