𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑨𝑳𝑳 Valley was finally here, and Oakley couldn't deny the mix of excitement and nerves swirling inside her. It was her first tournament, which felt a little ironic given her background in karate. Still, it was special. This was her chance to show her parents how much she'd accomplished in just a few months—and maybe even bring home a trophy for them.

"So, are you going to tell Miguel how you feel?" Aisha asked as she and Oakley hopped out of Drew's car.

Oakley gave her a side-eye. "How I feel about what?"

Aisha stopped mid-step, clearly baffled. "What you told me the other night. That you like him?"

Oakley's brows furrowed in confusion. "Whoa, hold on. I didn't say I liked him." She shook her head, waving off the accusation. "You asked, and I said maybe. Big difference."

Aisha crossed her arms. "Yeah, but maybe isn't a 'no,' Lee."

"It's not a 'yes' either," Oakley pointed out with a raised eyebrow. "And even if I did like him—which I don't—he's still hung up on Sam. I don't want to be some rebound girl for a guy I'm not even sure about."

Oakley turned on her heel, heading toward the rest of the Cobra Kai students gathering near the tournament entrance.

Aisha trailed behind, not ready to let it drop. "You're going to have to tell him how you feel at some point, Lee."

"Talk about my feelings?" Oakley scoffed, shooting her friend a look. "Yeah, that's not happening."

Aisha smirked. "Okay, then I'll tell him. Just say the word."

Oakley stopped and spun around, pointing a finger at her. "Aisha, you don't need to do anything because it's not happening."

The two reached their classmates, where Eli raised an eyebrow at the tension between them.

"What's not happening?" he asked.

Oakley shrugged. "Nothing important."

Turning to the group, she clapped her hands. "You guys ready?" Her eyes flicked over the team, lingering on Miguel for a moment longer than she intended. His angry demeanor was impossible to miss.
