𝑻𝑯𝑹𝑬𝑬 𝑾𝑬𝑬𝑲𝑺...Three weeks away from Cobra Kai, away from the mats, the drills, and the people who had become her second family. For Oakley, those weeks had been necessary, even if she hated to admit it. She'd spent them rediscovering herself, strengthening her bond with Drew without the weight of unspoken expectations or the pressure to prove something. It had been... calming. But despite the peace, she missed it. Missed them.
So when the thought of returning popped into her head, Oakley didn't hesitate. She felt ready—ready to come back, to feel the familiar rush of adrenaline and belonging she only ever got at Cobra Kai.
The bell above the dojo door jingled as she stepped inside. The sound echoed across the nearly empty room, drawing every eye her way. Oakley paused, her brow furrowing as she took in the scene. There was no class, no gi's, no drills—just a few people standing around in casual clothes.
"Uh, is there no class today?" Oakley asked.
That voice was all it took.
"Lee!"
Before Oakley could react, three familiar figures—Aisha, Miguel, and Eli—sprinted toward her. They crashed into her, their arms wrapping tightly around her in a chaotic group hug.
"Whoa! Hey, guys!" Oakley laughed, nearly stumbling under the weight of them all.
Aisha grinned as they finally let go. "We missed you!"
"Yeah," Eli added. "Dealing with these clueless newbies? It's been a nightmare. Finally, the badass is back." He gave her arm a playful slap.
Oakley smirked, shaking her head. "Good to see you too, Hawk."
Miguel lingered at the edge of the group, his smile softer, shyer. "Yeah... it's really good to have you back, Lee."
Oakley glanced at him, feeling the familiar knot of guilt tighten in her chest. She hadn't meant to ghost him—again—but between sorting out her feelings for him and trying to focus on Drew, everything had felt... complicated. Too much.
