Hades looked to the young and beautiful Goddess, his eyes watching her shake like a leaf as she gently played with the ice rose in her hands. He was slightly impressed with the fact that it hasn't melted.

"Why don't you two go after Zeus and I? That way you won't have to let the worry eat you away."

That last remark was directed at y/n, m/n knew this, and as she looked at her still shaking daughter. She couldn't help but to let out a tiny sigh, "yes.. we'll do that."

As m/n went towards the front where a door stood, Hades patted y/n on the shoulder, causing her to look up at him with those same shy eyes of hers.

"Remember, we are all meeting with Poseidon individually, so you're going to have to stand on your own two feet when meeting with him. No hiding behind your mother this time around."

"I- I know that," she muttered. Her eyes staring at the delicate flower in her hands. It had no stem, no tiny leaves, and no thorns. Just a tiny little rose of petals of ice. Easy to break if willed to do so.

"Come along, y/n," he said. His hand being held out to her. Shakily raising her own. She fitted her hand against his. His fingers locking together with hers as he made his way forward.

M/n already waiting for them both, "where is Zeus?"

Hades smiled, "probably already in there-"

Just as he was about to finish his sentence, the God in question had busted the door open. A hearty laugh escaping him, "that was a good fight!"

Fight?!

Hades looked to y/n to see how her ( color ) skin paled and lost some of its pigment.

"Don't worry, Poseidon doesn't expect us all to engage him in a duel. My brother, Zeus, is probably the only one who would dare to do so."

"I- I see," she muttered quietly.

Though her expression was quick to change into one of shock when Hades let go of her hand. Her arm instinctively reaching out to grab at his sleeve. The gesture caused him to look back at her in a questioning manner.

"I- I'm sorry! Please forgive me for grabbing you," she was quick to let go and instead hold onto her mother. Her eyes looking down and refusing to meet his gaze.

Humming to himself in amusement, he turned briskly and walked towards the door, gently shutting it behind him as the Gods and Goddesses erupted into small chatter, all awaiting their turn.

"Just remember to go in after me, alright?"

Y/n glanced to her mother, "alright."

"Good, now my dear, what were you and Hades talking about?"

Y/n tried to think back on their conversation and as she did so, a light tint escaped across her ( color ) cheeks, "I believe .. he was teasing me throughout our entire conversation..."

"That so? Hmm, well, at least he wasn't making any moves on you."

Making any moves on me? What does that mean?

Y/n tried to think of the phrase, but to no avail she couldn't quite figure out what it meant.

Maybe I could ask Hades?

She paused at the thought before spiraling into a mental panic.

W-wait! I can't do that! I mean, I just met him, surely I couldn't annoy him with my constant questions. I mean, I probably already annoyed him with my thoughts over the gift i got for Poseidon.

In fact, I bet he didn't even care!

She squirmed a little as her face contorted with worry, I never talked with another man before. And all the female servants barely say two words to me. I stutter too much, and I couldn't look him in the eyes unless I was hiding behind my mother.

Oh, this whole situation is turning into a disaster. How much more could I possibly embarrass myself?!

Her attention was caught on the door as it opened once again. Hades walking out with that same elegant smile and good posture.

"M/n," he said with a small nod towards her.

Nodding back, she took her cue to go in. Y/n being left alone with the most relied ok God once again.

"You seem even worse than I last left you. It's only been a few minutes," he mused. His eyes scanning over her.

She nodded, unable to look at him.

She always had these insecurities about herself. They all just sort of built up due to the fact that she never had contact with anyone outside of her mother's domain.

Was she being too annoying? Was she talking too much? Did she stutter to often?

She couldn't help but to mentally beat herself up.

This was the first time she has ever gotten to step out and meet new people. And the first man she meets is so far turning into a disaster because she can't help but to nitpick at everything that she was doing wrong.

"Won't even speak to me now? Don't tell me that m/n has scared you into not saying anything."

She shook her head. Her shoulders hunching up as if she was trying to disappear into her robes.

He gave her a quizzical look before a small idea etched itself it her mind, "why don't I go in there with you?"

"Wha- no!"

She finally looked at him. Just as he wanted her to.

"Oh?"

Backtracking, she realized how rude that sounded. Her eyes now looking everywhere but at him, "I mean- we have to meet with him individually .. I shouldn't .. I shouldn't get any sort of special treatment just because I'm scared," her voice started to die down into a mere whisper as he spoke. Just loud enough for both him and her to hear.

He wanted to hear more of her. Just like this. Scared and a little worried. It sent his heart racing.

The door opened then to reveal a smiling m/n.

"Looks like it's your turn," Hades mused. His eyes on y/n as she shook beneath his gaze.

M/n, smoothing out her robes, walked over to her daughter. Her hands reaching out to fix her daughter's hair.

"Your turn, my dear. Be sure to greet him and to give your name. Oh, and please don't leave without giving him your gift. You can be quite absent-minded at times when your scared."

"Mother...," she muttered.

"Oh, don't worry y/n," m/n kissed her daughter's forehead, "you'll be alright. Now get going. We can't make Poseidon wait."

"R- right, of course..."

She looked towards the door.

She couldn't help but to wonder if everything would truly be alright.
