Lost in her own world, Jhanvi got into work mood. Where she managed to get her work done. Dhruv and Jhanvi were the dynamic duo, helping their colleagues with forms and whatnot. They were like two peas in a pod, except one pea was slightly more sarcastic than the other.
Once they both were finished with their job,
"Wanna grab a coffee?" Dhruv asked Jhanvi who was waiting for him to wrap his things.
"Why not?" Jhanvi said.
Jhanvi and Dhruv were about to leave, but they both saw Sanjay on his desk. Both of them wanted to invite him too.
"Sir! Wanna join for a coffee?" Dhruv asked.
Sanjay shooed them away, "You guys carry on, I need to finish something."
aka "I don't want to be a third wheel"
Dhruv and Jhanvi headed to the cafeteria where the real fun began!
"So Jhanvi, you're quite skilled than I expected" Dhruv said,
"Ok, wait a minute! So, you expected me to be dumb?" Jhanvi responded.
Dhruv stuttered, "I mean...." Jhanvi cut him off "Seriously?!?"
Dhruv burst out laughing, and Jhanvi joined him. Just then, their phones started ringing simultaneously!
Varun yelled at Dhruv, "Where are you, dumbass?" Dhruv replied, "Cafeteria!"
Rina asked Jhanvi, "Where are you, princess?" Jhanvi responded, "Cafeteria!"
Both Varun and Rina hanged up without listening to any of the things which Dhruv and Jhanvi wanted to add up, the identical conversations ended with identical hang-ups, leaving Dhruv and Jhanvi in for a laughter.
Both were having their conversation, just then-
The two groups collided like two chaotic storms!
Dhruv's friends: Varun, Ash, Diya and Celia
Jhanvi's friends: Rina, Lucy and Zoya (and whole lot of sass)
Jhanvi's friends gave Dhruv's friends the "Who are these weirdos?" stare, while
Dhruv's friends returned the favor with the "Who are these crazy people?" gaze!
The introductions began, and it was like a game of "Who can remember the most Names?"
Varun took charge, "Hey guys, I'm Varun, and this is my girlfriend, Celia." Celia nodded, because, well, what else can you say?
Good one!
Diya followed suit, "Hey guys, I'm Diya, and this is my boyfriend, Ash." Ash nodded, because, yeah, that's all you need to say!
Wait seriously?
The cafeteria, which was peaceful moments ago, is now a whirlwind of chaos!
Zoya started her introduction, "Hi, I'm Zoya, I'm 24 years old. My father's name is- "
But Rina cut her off, "This is not a Kindergarten, h-heh! Sorry about that."
poor soul!
Rina took over, "I'm Rina, and this is Zoya. And the tiny human down here is Lucy."
Lucy, the miniature powerhouse, stood at exactly 5 feet, gazing up at Dhruv with a smile that screamed, "Want a lollipop?"
Dhruv waved a 'Hi' at Lucy, and she BLUSHED! Like, a full-on, cheeks-turning-pick blush! Hiding herself behind Rina.
The whole cabin went "Awwwww!" in unison, because who can resist a cute reaction?
It was like Lucy's smile had unleashed a wave of adorable-ness, and everyone was caught in its sweetness!
Dhruv, you've got a fan, dude!
After that, both the sides got silent.
Weirdly silent!
The awkward silence was broken by Dhruv and Jhanvi's simultaneous "Just a minute" escape plan!
They ushered their respected groups to opposite corners of the cafeteria, like two generals strategizing with their troops.
