Melons and Meatballs (Mario x Melony Fanfic)

Chapter 20- City of Amoré

Mario and Melony slowly approaches the Showgrounds, they got called there by the whole crew, although they don't have any idea of what to expect. As soon as they reach the gang is all reunited except for Bob.

Melony: "Hi guys! Why did you all called us here for?".

All of them look really excited(except for SMG3), SMG4 is the first one to speak up.

SMG4: "Well since it's have been one month since you guys started dating...".

Mario: "But Chapter 10 was released-".

Meggy: "We decided to celebrate with a little surprise for you!".

Melony and Mario: "Really!?". Both are really excited.

Tari: "Yeah! Look!". Tari approaches them and she gives Melony a small flyer and a map.

The flyer is red and pink themed, with hearts spreaded through it, the words "City of Amoré" are highlighted.

Mario: "City of Amoré?".

Boopkins: "Yeah! It's a place full of attraction for couples!".

Mario and Melony looks at each other.

Mario: "I-I don't know...".

Saiko: "C'mon trust us it will be fun!".

SMG3: "Oh and look! You guys driver just arrived!". SMG3 fakes his excitement.

A white van approaches as SMG3 speaks, the van is slightly dirty and has some dents here and there. The words "candy" are faded.

Bob: "Wassup!". Bob stick his head from the driver sit.

Luigi opens the door of the back of the van.

Meggy: "So are you guys in?". The gang patiently waits for their answer.

Mario and Melony gives each other another look, they then turn around to discuss a little, their whispers can be slightly heard.

They then turn around again.

Melony: "Well, sure!". Melony looks way more excited than Mario.

The whole gang smiles to them.

SMG4: "Great! now hop in!".

Mario and Melony enters the van, they take their sits on the ground as the gang slowly closes the door.

Luigi, Boopkins, Tari and Meggy: "Have a good trip!". The door is completly closed and the van started moving.

Mario looks around the back of the van, it's completly dark, he can't barerly even see Melony and the van has a weird smell, like a mix of cigar, blood and whisky. He let's out a frustrated moan.

Melony: "Are you okay?". Melony's sweet and delicated voice fills Mario's ears, he always forget how he loves her voice.

Mario: "I don't know, we are going to a place we don't even know and it's kinda, you know? Strange.". Mario doesn't know why he is feeling like that, maybe he is just stressed.

Melony: "It's okay, im sure it will be fun! They wouldn't send us to a bad place, right?".

Mario: "Yeah, you're right". Mario relaxes, he regain his normal voice tone and his accent is more noticable.

Melony: "Here!". Melony lips makes the classic smoochie sound altough there's something wrong.

Mario: "Huh? I didn't felt anything." Mario puts his hands around his face.

Melony: "Really? I guess you are at this side then". After she accidentally kissed the air, Melony turns around in the complete darkness.

Melony gives another shot at a kiss, this time she felt something on her lips.
