Grim puts his paws on his hips. "So what are the other dorms like, then?"

Trey adjusts his glasses. "As Cater mentioned earlier, the dorms of this school are themed after the Great Seven. We have our dorm, Heartslabyule, modeled after the strictness of the Queen of Hearts. To run down the rest of them for you, we have...Savanaclaw, based on the persistent spirit of the King of Beasts. Octavinelle, based on the benevolent heart of the Sea Witch. Scarabia, based on the mindful personality of the Sorcerer of the Sands. Pomefiore, based on the tenacity of the Fairest Queen. Ignihyde, based on the diligence of the king of the underworld. And finally... Daisomnia, based on the noble spirit of the Thorn Fairy.

I nod and take a deep breath. "That's a lot to take in."

Grim's eyes widen. "All those names are way too long! How's anyone supposed to remember 'em?"

Cater laughs. "Well, you get the idea. Want to or not, you'll learn them soon enough."
"At orientation, the Dark Mirror picks a dorm for you based on the essence of your being." Trey crosses his arms. "As a result, each dorm ends up with a distinct sort of...flavor, we'll call it."

"That's is sooo true. I totes see it." Cater nods.

"'Flavor,' huh...?" Deuce puts a finger to his chin.

"For example, look at that guy." Trey gestures to a big man with white hair and wolf ears.

My eyes widen. "He had dog ears?"

"That round-and-tumble vibe he's got has Savanaclaw House written all over it." Trey adjusts his glasses.

"No doubt. That dorm is full of scrappy guys who are into, like, working out and fighting," Cater agrees. "How should I describe the vibe...? Macho dudes? Gruff big brothers? Something along those lines. The black and gold armband is another giveaway."

Grim puts his paws on his hips. "Huh. Alright, so what about that guy with the grey and purple cord wrapped around his arm?"

We look over to someone I saw during the ceremony, the guy with short grey hair and glasses.

Trey crosses his arms. "He's gotta be from Octavinelle house. And the students sitting at the table is front of him has a red and gold armband—Scarabia colors.

Oh hey, It's the guy who I helped and who helped me at the ceremony. The guy sitting next to him has long brown hair, one side is braided and all except a chunk is held up in a ponytail.

"Those dorms are for the smart students. They're always neck-and-neck in the academic rankings." Cater crosses his arms. "Ah, but the current housewarden of Scarabia doesn't seem to be all that great of a student..."

Ace rubs the back of his head. "And here Cater goes off on some tangent."

Trey lets out a short laugh. "You learn fast. Let's get back on topic. You see the flashy ones with the purple and red armbands? Those are Pomefiore colors."

We look over to two men, one with blond hair and a wide-brimmed hat with a feather in it and a shorter one with purple hair.

"Whoa! The girl with the potion books, I really like her!" Grim smiles.

'Her'? Do they really think that's a girl?

Deuce flinches. "What's she doing in a boys school?!"

Ace shakes his head. "You two are such morons. There aren't girls officially enrolled here. Well, except you Yuna, but you're a weird situation."

I tilt my head.

"WHAAAT?!" Deuce and Grim sound shocked.

The purplette looks over and tilts his head to. I wave to him and mouth a small apology. He shrugs and goes back to studying.
