Nectar
Nectar sighed as she carefully placed on the twigs and twisted the leaves with them It was now some sort of circle with a hole. She placed it on her head and wrapped the ivy around her neck. It was annoying. She hated it. Nectar despised that Queen Argentine and her mother Lingonberry were old friends. Her old friends she used to have said she had to best luck having her mother be friends with the queen but that was bad luck to Nectar. Every time Argentine came, every time Nectar stared at her, she gave off the most smug vibes in the world. Astonishing, was, basically the horrible copy of Argentine. But no matter, how much she begged her mother to lock Argentine out of their house, Lingonberry always opened the door and would chase Nectar into her room to go decorate herself up and become a sparkly dragonet. If there was no law, Nectar would have bitten Queen Argentine until she started crying like a new-born dragonet like how Queen Lunar had when she had picked up Ember's egg. Maybe she could even bite Argentine's wings until she could never fly again because it would burn. But she couldn't. She had to observe her queen to know her reactions. She couldn't risk it. Queen Argentine wasn't a Fire AntWing but she was huge and bigger and older than Nectar. Nectar had to know what Argentine would do. So her question for today was going to help so much...
Suddenly, a message popped out of the tube. Nectar turned around. She picked it up and saw it was from Blazing. Tell me if Argentine's daughter is born yet and if she's an animus, prepare for Astonishing's face - Blazing. An animus? Well... If it was anything to do with seeing a horrified Astonishing, Nectar was in.
"HEY!!! Nectar! Get down here you insolent child!!!!! The QUEEN is here!" her mother yelled from downstairs to her. Fine... She quickly adjusted her twig thingy, (A crown type she could have guessed), and she predicted by the time she got down, her mother would be lashing her tail and snarling and muttering bad words. And when she got down, her mother was doing exactly that. "You!" she growled, her brows furrowing up.
"What?" asked Nectar as dumbly as she could.
"Don't play dumb! You know it! Open the door! For. The. Queen." Lingonberry snapped, rolling her eyes. If only I had gotten away with that, thought Nectar sadly. Yes, her mother called her an annoying pest, but Nectar wouldn't blame her, that was exactly how she was viewed as, an insolent pest. But she would show them. When the day would come, she would show her mother that she was NECTAR, NIGHTMARE OF ANTWINGS. If only she could actually do that. But for now, she had to show her mother she was a disrespectful nobody pest. So she she hunched her back and moaned and slowly opened the door.
Lingonberry twitched her left eye. Ha! Perfect, Nectar smiled and made her smile even more obvious. Lingonberry looked like she wanted to rip Necatr's face off but she couldn't which was the best part. Argentine had ordered any dragon who was related to a Fire AntWing to have eggs so she could have a Fire AntWing army but she only had four of them, but they were forbiddened to be killed so they could have another generation of Fire AntWings, but to Nectar, it didn't look like it was going to.
Nectar felt like laughing, to her mother she was a pest, to her training group, she was the boring quiet training partner who liked to stare at them intently, and to the queen, she was a heap of rubbish. They were pretty easy to pull off, but her personal favourite was the training partner one, she just liked being with them all, even Astonishing, because nothing was worse than the queen and her mother. And she couldn't explain it, but she felt happy with them...? Ack! Stop dawdling, open the door! Ask your question!
But as soon as she opened the door, she literally forgot her question.
There was a small female dragonet with wisteria flowers embroidered with vines and each vine had a hardened honey-stone hanging on her horns. She even had a jasmine flower bundle tied around her tail tip. And her aura... Not just majestic... Maybe a bit smugness that rubbed off from the queen... But there was also magic... Then it stabbed her in the head. The AntWing kingdom's heir was an animus!
