The evening was planned to perfection. Haerin had chosen a sophisticated new restaurant, known for its intimate ambiance and exquisite cuisine, to finally express what she had been feeling for so long. As they arrived, Danielle took in the elegant decor, the candlelit tables, and the soft music playing in the background, a little in awe of how thoughtful Haerin had been.

Haerin, her usual cool and composed self, was feeling a bit nervous, though she didn't show it. She was used to handling everything with confidence, whether it was roasting her friends or standing up for herself and those she cared about. But tonight was different. Tonight was about Danielle, and Haerin was determined to make it special.

When dessert was served a decadent chocolate soufflé Haerin knew it was time. She reached across the table, gently taking Danielle's hand in hers, her usual playful demeanor giving way to something more tender.

"Danielle," Haerin began, her voice steady but filled with emotion, "there's something I've been wanting to tell you for a while now. Tonight feels like the right time to finally say it."

Danielle looked up, her curiosity piqued. She had noticed that Haerin had been quieter than usual, more focused. "What is it, Haerin? You've been a little different tonight."

Haerin gave a small smile, her fingers lightly squeezing Danielle's. "I know, it's just... this is important. Danielle, I've realized that I love you. Not just as a friend, but in a way that's deeper than I've ever felt before. I've been falling for you, and I couldn't keep it to myself any longer."

Danielle's eyes widened slightly, a mix of surprise and warmth in her expression. She was used to Haerin's confidence, her way of handling everything with ease, but this was different. This was Haerin, soft and vulnerable, and it made her heart swell. "Haerin, I... I didn't expect this, but I'm so glad you said it. Because I've felt the same way for a while now. I just didn't know how to bring it up, or if you'd even feel the same."

Haerin's smile widened, a rare display of pure happiness that she usually kept guarded. "I was so nervous, but hearing you say that makes it all worth it. I've been dreaming about us being more than just friends, and I want to see where this can go. If you're ready."

Danielle nodded, her cheeks flushed with emotion. "I've wanted this too, Haerin. I was just too scared to admit it. But now... now that you've said it, I feel like everything's falling into place."

Haerin, feeling the weight lift from her shoulders, leaned in slightly, her voice softening even more. "I promise, Danielle, I'll always be there for you. I'm not the most sentimental person, but when it comes to you... I want to give you everything."

Danielle smiled, her eyes shining. "You've always been there for me, Haerin. Just by being yourself. And now, knowing how you feel, I can't wait to see where this takes us."

Just as the two shared this tender moment, their friends—Minji, Hyein, Yuna, and Hanni—burst into the room, grinning from ear to ear. They had been waiting for the perfect moment to join the celebration.

"Finally!" Minji exclaimed, rushing over to hug Haerin and Danielle. "We've been waiting for this forever!"

Hyein, who had always been a bit protective of Haerin, gave her a knowing smile. "I knew you'd come through, Haerin. Danielle's lucky to have you."

Yuna and Hanni, always ready to tease, couldn't resist. "We knew something was up tonight," Yuna quipped. "And now we know why!"

Haerin, back to her usual self with her friends, rolled her eyes playfully. "Alright, alright, no need to make a big deal out of it. But thanks, guys. It means a lot that you're here."
