𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐈 𝐒𝐀𝐓 around with the Hargreeves, waiting for Five and my brother to make calls.

"Hey, you know what's strange? All those people back in New Grumpson. They were wearing Hargreeves-branded military gear."

"Luther, the entire goddamn place was a Hargreeves town." Allison scoffed.

"Yeah, it's like it was designed to keep Jennifer hostage." Ben suggested.

"What's so important about her anyway?" Lila asked what we were all thinking.

"Isn't it obvious? She's one of us." Allison replied.

"No. No way." Ben denied.

"I mean, that would make sense. Why else would Dad build a Truman Show around her?"

I gasped dramatically, "Oh my god, I love that movie!"

"Y/N, not the time. The guy played us, alright? Nothing Jennifer said jibed with Sy's story." Ben scolded.

"They're both gone now, so that leaves us with two shitty options." Viktor finally spoke. "We either go after the Keepers, or, worse, talk to Dad."

"Or we can just go home. That's definitely an option." I shrugged and fluttered my eyes, receiving disapproving glares from everyone.

"Think we need to split up. Me and Lila will follow up with the Keepers. The rest of you go talk to Dad."

"How about, no fucking way?" I angrily smiled at him.

I wasn't dumb. I knew his whole CIA assignment had something to do with them. I also knew Lila had something to do with them too.

But I'd rather drink a pair of jeans through a bendy straw than go face my father.

"Uh-uh. I'm going with you guys too." Diego stood.

"And I'm going after Jennifer." Ben concluded.

"It's better if we stick together." Viktor blinked.

"No, it's not. And this little field trip proved it." he waved his hand at us.

"You're awfully gung ho for a person that didn't wanna go in the first place." Diego said.

"You're all a bunch of clowns. I'm going on my own."

"I don't think that's a bright idea." I muttered, knowing my words wouldn't mean anything to him.

"Ben. Don't you walk away from me!" Luther shouted like he was his dad.

"Let him go. He thinks he found his one true love." I fake swooned, falling into Lila's lap.

"And then there were seven." Lila added.

Diego, Lila, Viktor, Five, and I made our way back to the city.

Five directed us back to this couple named Jean and Gene's office, the starters of the Keepers.

Diego handed his keys off to Viktor, and we made our way inside.

"Welcome to the Keepers HQ, courtesy of Jean and Gene." Five narrated as Diego pulled open the door.

"This place is definitely crawling with asbestos." I mumbled as we traveled further into the office.

We immediately started flipping the room upside down, trying to get any and all information possible.

"Jean and Gene didn't give us much to go off of." Diego announced obviously, as our searches had no prevail.

"Stay focused for once, darling." Lila commanded.
