This was something Miku had never trained for. A mass of pure liquid was surrounding her as if trying to make a mould of her body, and she couldn't do a single thing about it. None of her punches, kicks, or attempts to activate her Quirk were effective at all--they just amused the villain.
As Miku opened her mouth to scream for help--though she doubted it'd come, as there were still no pro heroes in the area--the monster filled it with disgusting sludge that made her eyes water and her nose burn.
"Oh, you're very strong. Your Quirk is even more useful than that boy's," the villain chuckled. "You are a very good skin suit, you know. I might just keep you."
Choking on the smell of sewer, Miku struggled to free herself. The wind swirled around them uselessly, no longer under her control. The sludge villain's Quirk must've had something to do with that.
What do I do? Miku had been trained to escape all sorts of people with heteromorphic Quirks, but none who were just a viscous pile of liquid. I can barely even breathe, can't see a single thing, and Windsweep is no longer under my control.
The reality of the situation was starting to sink in. She was fully trapped, and backup was an indefinite distance away. For all Miku knew, her mom hadn't even gotten her message yet.
"LET US GO, YOU BITCH!" the boy screamed, managing to free his mouth from its gag for a second. His hands started to glow, though Miku didn't think it was his doing, as he glanced down in surprise for a moment. "I'LL KILL YOU!"
BOOM!
An explosion sounded from directly behind him, blowing up the very grocery store Miku had set out to find in the first place. It took her a moment to realize that was the boy's Quirk: Explosions.
These villains must feel like the luckiest people in the world, she thought ruefully. Commandeering two extremely powerful Quirks. Mom, please hurry. They can probably destroy the entire city with just an out-of-control Windsweep alone, not to mention his Quirk seems to be all about destruction.
In a sudden, desperate attempt to stay conscious, Miku jerked her head back, escaping the goo for enough time to breathe before the monster's hand went back over her face. This time it covered her eyes, too. She violently coughed as a mix of smoke and slime entered her lungs.
The faint sound of screaming could be heard as the villain ahead of them blasted through the grocery store and entered it, Miku's captor not far behind. They were obviously testing out their new Quirks, though the wind wasn't obeying the villain holding Miku very well. She could hear it growling to itself about "stupid wasted potential".
A wave of relief washed over Miku. So he can't use my Quirk properly. Makes sense, since Windsweep is very fond of me. Now he can't fully destroy the city.
Then again, the boy's Quirk seemed to be perfectly capable of blowing up the entirety of Musutafu, as well.
Miku didn't know how she was acting so calm--maybe because the stress of her Quirk was temporarily off her shoulders--but she was pretty sure that she was about three seconds away from a complete mental breakdown. It didn't help that she wasn't able to breathe, either. That damned villain's hand was no longer inside of her mouth, thank goodness, but it was still covering it.
Just then, the wind picked up. But it wasn't regular wind. It had a different, strong scent to it. A familiar scent: cloves and fresh-cut grass.
"STEP AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!" Elle screeched, the distinct sound of broken glass accompanying her entrance. "THE BOY, TOO!"
