Principle Wells told you and Kate to wait just a moment before he could talk to the two of you. Time was going by so slowly, it was eating away at you; the waiting, the anticipation, the eagerness to have Wells potentially help you, but also the anxiety of him potentially making things worse.
"(Y/N), I'm not so sure about this..." Kate admitted,
"Relax, Kate. It will be okay. We've come this far, we can't back out now. What happened to you was wrong, so it's time it's brought to people's attention" you told her.Kate nodded in agreement before you two went back to waiting. Eventually, the door to Well's office opened, and the head of the school himself greeted you.
"Ah, (Y/N) and Kate, good to see you two. Please, come on in" Wells greeted you and Kate.
As you entered Wells' office, you were a little uneasy, but your nerves were at least a little calmed by the crisp smell of paper and air freshener that wafted throughout said office.
You and Kate eventually sat down in the two chairs that were in front of Wells' desk. Your chair was surprisingly comfortable; it was soft and cozy. Your nervousness was eased even further.
After Wells attended to something on his computer, he finally directed his attention solely towards his students.
"So, what brings you two to my office today?" Wells asked,
"Well, sir, we wanted to talk to you about something..." you began."Kate, would you like to tell him yourself?" you then asked Kate,
"Um... yes" Kate began.Kate then proceeded to tell Wells a recap of the events of the Vortex Club party, similar to what she told you. Throughout the conversation, you glanced at Kate a few times; she seemed nervous and had trouble making eye contact with Wells. However, Wells still seemed intrigued and even a little shocked at what he was hearing. He repeatedly nodded his head in agreement, and his eyes even widened a few times. You were glad that he was finally made aware of this situation, and you were also proud of Kate for having the courage to tell him this herself.
"We think Kate was drugged" you explained,
"And, just so we're clear, you think Nathan Prescott was responsible for this?" Wells asked,
"Yes" you answered."Well, there isn't much I can do now. However, I will call you two and Mr. Prescott back into my office later today, and we can continue this conversation later" Wells explained,
"Wait, why? Can't you do anything about this now?" you asked,
"I just want to make sure that we're all on the same page. And that Mr. Prescott will be able to give his side of the story. This video was sent to me by multiple sources, so I'd also like to do a little digging myself on the matter. Make no mistake, Mr. (Y/N) and Ms. Marsh, you two will be heard. But for the sake of a civil and informative conversation, I want to make sure everyone is heard" Wells continued to explain."Well, that's fair enough, I guess" said Kate,
"Yeah, thank you anyway, sir" you added.
"You're quite welcome. I will see you two later today. For now, though, you should head on to class. I believe Mr. Jefferson is waiting for you" Wells concluded. As you and Kate exited Wells' office, the two of you began to converse before you went to Jefferson's class.
"Hopefully, we'll get to the bottom of this when we talk with Wells again later" you told Kate,
"Yeah, I'm sure we will. Before, I thought I was going to do nothing but suffer in silence. But now, thanks to you, I have hope. I can't express how much that means to me, (Y/N). Thank you" Kate said,
"Of course, Kate" you replied. You then quickly went back to your dorm to return your laptop, humorously realizing in retrospect that you didn't need it, and headed to class afterwards.
