Daniel sat in silence as Lando downed his seventh cocktail. He didn't know why Lando kept drinking way more than usual, but it was getting out of hand. Lando was stumbling and stuttering and Daniel felt like it was about time to get him home.
"Okay, come on, time to go home." Daniel grabbed him by his arm.
Lando tried to pull his arm back, almost falling off the bar stool. "Don' wanna."
Daniel sighed, nodding and took him by the waist. "We're going." he left some money for the drinks on the bar and dragged Lando outside.
The walk to Lando's place was, luckily, very short and soon, Daniel was standing in front of Lando's front door, supporting the younger's weight and searching his pockets for keys. He unlocked the door, entering the place.
He immediately dragged Lando to the bathroom, seating him on the bath tub.
He took his face and lifted it up to have a look at him under some light. "How you feelin'?"
Lando blinked very slowly. "Funny."
"Alright," Daniel lifted the toilet seat, moving out of the way. "Knock yourself out."
In a minute Lando was bent over the toilet bowl, vomitting.
Daniel nodded, stroking Lando's back. "You always say that before you throw up."
He helped Lando clean up when he was done emptying his stomach and got him to bed.
"I'll make you some coffee." Daniel turned around to go to the kitchen.
"I don't want coffee."
"Well, too bad, you need to wake up a bit!"
"I don't want coffee!" Daniel stopped in his tracks when he heard Lando shout. He turned around to face him.
"Lan-"
"I don't want coffee! And- and I don't want you taking care of me!"
Daniel's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Lando, what's gotten into you, mate?"
Lando was sitting upright on the bed, flailing his arms around. "All you do is pretend that you care about me! You- you make me feel all nice and happy and then you act like we're strangers!"
"What? That's not-"
"You go to bars with me but you never dance with me! You let me go home with completely random men! You don't care what happens to me, you're just happy to get rid of me!"
Daniel stared in disbelief. He scoffed. "I don't care what happens to you?! I don't tell you to go home with all these men, you choose to do that! And I'm not going to tell you what to do because you're an adult and you can make your own decisions but I do care!" he took a shaky breath. "I go with you in case something happened. The second you called me after someone spiked your drink, I got out of bed and drove to you as fast as I could. I helped you get home tonight. So don't you dare say I don't care!" he gritted his teeth.
Lando stared at him, biting the inside of his cheek, speechless.
Daniel swallowed, nodding. "Call me when you're ready to think about someone other than yourself."
With that, he left Lando's place, slamming the front door.
He returned to the bar.
He ordered rum.
And he left the bar with another man.

He was alone in his bed when he woke up, the smell of sex, booze and some stranger still heavy in the air. He got up to open the window, greeted by a pang of pain in his head.
He breathed in the fresh air, recalling the events of last night. He sighed. He loved Lando. Truly, he did. But he made it so hard for him sometimes.
He punched the window sill, bending over, sobbing.
He couldn't believe what happened between him and Lando and he couldn't believe what happened between him and the stranger last night. Why did he do that? Why would he do the one thing he hated about Lando?
He headed to the kitchen to take a painkiller, leaning against one of the cupboards. He didn't know what to do next. He didn't want to see Lando. He didn't want to talk to him, he didn't want to have anything to do with him.
He headed back to bed to sleep off his hangover.

Sasha: Hey there! Haven't seen you in the bar in some time. Everything alright?
Me: lando and i had a fight
Me: i dont wanna see him
Sasha: Lando? Is that the boy you like?
Me: yeah
Sasha: Oh shit, I'm so sorry ): I'm here for you if you need anyone to talk to
Me: thanks sasha
Daniel put his phone away, his head hitting the pillow once more when it pinged again. Thinking it was Sasha, he looked at the screen.
Lando: wanna go to a bar tonight? (;
Daniel's heart stopped at the message. Did Lando forget what happened yesterday? Was he that drunk? He seemed fine after he threw up.
Lando: there's this really cool one i'd like to show you ((;
Daniel didn't respond.
Lando: dan?
Daniel went back to sleep.
