Daniel heard the doorbell and went to open the front door.
"Hi."
Daniel stared at the man before him. His best friend. His crush. The man who hurt him badly not even two weeks ago. He didn't say anything.
Lando gulped. "May I come in? Please?"
Daniel's jaw tightened as he stepped out of the way, motioning for Lando to come inside. He closed the door behind him, leaning on it, arms folded.
"I-" Lando started. "I don't even know where to start hah..." he looked down when he saw Daniel's disinterested expression. "I'm sorry." he was chewing on his lip nervously. "I- I'm sorry for... saying all the things I said. It wasn't fair of me a-and they weren't even true! I was just- so mad. I don't even remember why I was so mad but I was and I took it out on you. I'm so sorry." his hands trembled. "I-I tried to... to play it off by pretending I didn't remember and thought that- that maybe then we could go back to our everyday routine. But you wouldn't respond and I just- I'm so fucking sorry, Dan."
Daniel huffed. "I don't wanna go back to our everyday routine."
Lando swallowed. "Oh."
"I don't like our everyday routine."
Lando stared at him for a moment. "What..?"
"I don't like going to bars with you. I-" he looked away, blinking away the tears in his eyes. "We get to the bar together and the second you get some alcohol in your system, you're off with some- stranger and I'm left all alone the whole night until, eventually, you leave with said stranger and I go home on my own."
Lando looked down.
"I don't enjoy those nights. I only stay to make sure you're okay."
"Let me make it up to you."
Daniel blinked at him. "What?"
"Let's go out tonight."
Daniel sighed. "Lando-"
"I promise to only pay attention to you the whole night. Please, let me fix all the past nights."
Daniel was too weak. "Alright."
Lando's face lit up ever so slightly. "Really?"
"Yeah, sure."

"A margarita please."
Lando raised an eyebrow at him. "You usually get rum, why the change of heart?"
Daniel shrugged. "Rum's my sulking drink."
"Your sulking-" Lando sighed. "I'm sorry it got to that point."
"It's fine, you weren't thinking about me."
Lando gulped, ordering a drink for himself as well.
They sat in silence for a moment, both sipping on their drinks.
Suddenly, Lando grabbed his hand. "Let's dance, come on!" and before Daniel could even process what was happening, they were on the dance floor, Lando's hands on his shoulder and the back of his neck.
Daniel reluctantly placed his hands on Lando's hips, swaying to the music. After a moment, he held onto Lando tighter, pulling him a bit closer.
Lando's arms wrapped around his neck, their faces centimeters apart. Lando breathed out, resting his head in the crook of Daniel's neck.
Daniel's breath hitched as he felt Lando's breath on the sensitive skin of his neck and he pulled him even closer. The alcohol wasn't doing him any good.
All of a sudden, Lando's mouth latched onto his neck, softly mouthing at the skin there. He made his way all the way to Daniel's ear. "Wanna get out of here?"
Daniel's breath hitched. "I thought you'd never ask."
Was this it? Was this what Daniel's been dreaming about all this time? Was it finally happening?
He found himself pinning Lando to the wall of his place the moment they entered his apartment, kissing him with the hunger of a pining man.
Lando grabbed at the hem of his shirt, pulling it over Daniel's head soon after.
"Take me to bed, Danny."
And Daniel would be damned if that wasn't exactly what he was going to do. He picked Lando up, carrying him to his bedroom and laying him down on his bed. He helped Lando snake out of his shirt and kissed his chest.
Lando arched against his mouth. "Mm... how do you want me to address you?"
Daniel stopped mouthing at Lando's skin, looking into his eyes. "What..?"
"Oh, you know, what do I call you? Sir, master, Daniel... daddy?" he giggled.
Daniel blinked at him. He shook his hand, scoffing. "I can't do this." he got off Lando, standing at the foot of the bed.
Lando sat up on the bed. "Wait, no, where are you going?"
Daniel buckled his belt which, in the midst of everything, got undone. "Home."
"No, no, no, why?"
The older bit his lip, staring at the ceiling. "I'm not just another fling, Lando. I-" he let out a huff. "I don't want to be treated like one of the men you let take you home. I want to be treated like your best friend." he scoffed. "But you haven't done that in quite some time now, have you?" he turned around, leaving the bedroom.
Lando got up, running after him. "Dan, wait! Don't go, please! I can make you feel good! Isn't that what you want?"
"No!" Daniel exclaimed, turning to face him. "I don't want you to- to whore yourself at me! I wanted to make you feel loved and appreciated but all you've done is treat me like I'm a stranger you just met. I'm done."
"Daniel, please-"
"I've been watching you dance with everyone but me. I've seen you leave with countless men none of which I could ever even compare to, and the one time-" he huffed out a laugh. "The one time I think you've finally shown some interest, that- that maybe, just maybe you might like me back, you go and treat me like anyone else." he bites the inside of his cheek. "I've had enough."
He turned around, leaving Lando's place and going in the direction of his own house.
