Ding-dong.The doorbell echoed through the quiet of the night, signaling Nejire's arrival. She waited at the door, a familiar excitement buzzing in her chest, knowing that izuku was just behind that door. As usual, she had a lot on her mind—mostly about the upcoming Sports Festival, but also about the person she was about to see. Shifting her weight from one foot to the other, a playful smile danced on her lips as she thought about the night ahead.

Inside the house, izuku put down his book on human biology. The text, as usual, was a source of study, not for academic purposes, but for understanding the world that had always been so foreign to him. He rose from his chair, his movements precise and deliberate, and walked to the door. As he opened it, his gaze met Nejire's, her vibrant energy a stark contrast to his composed demeanor.

"Hello, Nejire. Isn't it a bit late in the night?" izuku asked, stepping aside to allow her entry. Her visits had become a regular occurrence, so much so that the routine was almost second nature to him. She often spent the night, and there had been times when he had to call her parents to pick her up. By now, even they were accustomed to her staying at his house, trusting in izuku's character, knowing that he had never once crossed any boundaries with their daughter during these visits.

Nejire's eyes lit up the moment she saw him, her smile widening as she stepped inside. "Oh, come on! It's never too late when it's the night before the Sports Festival! I couldn't just sit still, and I wanted to talk to you about it."

Her eyes darted around the room, taking in the familiar surroundings. Despite having seen it many times before, her curiosity was always piqued by the smallest details. "Were you studying again?" she asked, noticing the book he had set down. "You're always so focused, izuku. But tonight, let's take a break from all that serious stuff and just... talk."

As she spoke, Nejire moved closer, her natural warmth filling the space between them. She was always like this—so close, so comfortable, as if there were no boundaries between them. It was something that had always intrigued her about izuku, how he was so reserved with everyone else but seemed to open up, even if just a little, when it was just the two of them.izuku followed her to the sitting area and took his usual seat. "Yes," he said, gesturing for her to sit as well, "what would you like to talk about?"

Nejire plopped down beside him with a graceful, almost casual ease, her curiosity as lively as ever. "Well, the Sports Festival, of course! It's all anyone's been talking about lately, and I can't stop thinking about it. Aren't you even a little excited? I mean, it's the perfect chance to show everyone what you can really do!"

She leaned in a bit closer, her blue eyes searching his face for any hint of emotion, as she often did. "I know you're not one to get all worked up about these things, but... it's going to be amazing. Everyone's going to be watching, and you'll get to show off that super cool strength of yours. Don't you think that's exciting?"

There was a softness in her tone now, a subtle shift as she let herself be drawn into his presence, just as she always was. Even as she talked about the festival, something deeper seemed to linger in her words, a connection that had grown between them over the months. It was as if the festival was just an excuse to be here with him, to share these moments that had become so precious to her.

izuku tilted his head slightly, a familiar gesture when he was processing something, as he turned to face Nejire. "In particular, no," he replied, his voice as even and measured as ever. "I've watched the previous ones and didn't find them interesting. The festival is to showcase the students of U.A. to the world, and more specifically to heroes."
