Blackout.
The electricity was like a bird trapped in a cage of wires, waiting to be let loose. It didn't connect to any recording devices, nor the light anymore. Light wasn't an issue. We could see just fine, plus this building needed a couple windows.
How we hadn't gotten rickets was a surprise in itself. Then again, enhancements and liquids.

Plucking and spearing at all white dots on the map, we took authority and of their minds. The doctors that were left in this room were too unfortunate. We clustered them together and used their skulls as a battering ram against the wall. It wouldn't work but they would bleed. However, we made them raise their palms, sideways to the wall and beat it. A crack formed.

We were losing our patients. It might have been fun for them to make us bleed but we had exacted the start of our revenge and it was idiotic to go against the plan anymore than necessary.
We made them grab the chainsaw, they occasionally used. Anger release, they joked as they cut off fingers. Our fingers had re grown but they hadn't know if they would. The chainsaw carved a whole in the wall.

The view was beautiful. There were colours. The scent of the sea and the natural cool breeze hit us. Divine, there was no other way to explain it. Freedom was just around the corner.

Freedom.

We shook out of our blissful stupor. We raised a mental, steal fist. The fist of new beginnings. And squeezed.

Dump. They fell in sync, the sound reverberated through the building. We checked the map and there wasn't a single white dot left on the premises.

A weight fell of our shoulders. Breathing became natural.

Finally.
Relief filled us, as well as a buzz of excitement that sparked in our blood.
The others like us were given the same liquid as we were but the effects of the other liquids would wear off. We were sure. It was a rush. Our heartbeat had moved on from a walk to a sprint.

Time for a new beginning.
