"What dress?" You came out of your closet with two completely different dresses in your hands. You stood in front of Annie and you held one of them in front of you. "This one? Or..." you dragged while going to the other dress. "That one?"
She looked up from her phone and considered which dress would suit you best. "The second." She says, she grabbed the first dress and put it back in place.
The dress she chose was one of your favorites. She knew what you liked and always chose the ones that suited you best.
You thanked her, putting the dress flat on the bed, and you went to your jewelry box. Annie came next to you to see the jewelry too. She took one of the necklaces you cherished the most. You kept it on display, never in the box where it could get tangled or mix with others - despite its thickness and unusual style.
"He was right. It brought you back to him." Annie watched the sunlight hit the key. The gold was reflected in your eyes, making you be hypnotized by him. As if you weren't already.
But you agreed with what Annie said.
It brought you back to him, even in the most difficult moments. The key was swinging in front of you. It was almost like an order that you reach out and touch it to remember the time.
The moments in the library, the head, even the stupid moments like seeing him for the first time outside his dormitory without knowing that it was him.
You still remembered his appearance, his way of walking, his red eyes and the clothes he was wearing. His style was always modern. You liked the way his jewelry was matched with his clothes and the cologne he wore that suited him so well.
The first time you passed your hands through his hair, you only thought about their softness.
His man bun was appreciable, but when his hair was loose, he looked so sophisticated. Whatever style he wore, he was always beautiful, no matter what he wore.
When his hand clung to yours, so gently and yet so firmly, as if he never wanted to let you go, your heart throwed. His little gestures - giving you the last slice of pizza, rubbing his thumb on your thigh when you are anxious or changing the channel to put your favorite show when you enter the room, are only added to the list of reasons why you cherished him as a person.
"Yeah. It brought me back to him." You answered Annie by taking the necklace in her hand and putting it back on the display so that it would be in your field of vision when you prepare for dinner.
She put herself behind you, her hands on your shoulders, and looked at the necklace with you. She admired him. "You should get ready." Her hand slipped off your shoulder and pulled the chair out of your vanity.
Annie wanted to spend time with you before your dinner with Eren. And you wanted to see her because it had been forever since you had seen her and you missed the link you both had.
She came with Armin, but he quickly left with Eren for something. You weren't sure what it was, but your mind was too focused on Eren's appearance.
You didn't have to do it, but it was good to get dressed from time to time and show yourself to your boyfriend.
Annie and you talked while you were putting on makeup. You were both talking about adult stuff. Bills, rent, taxes, and work.
"Did you open a bakery? I thought you would do something else?" She said, tapping one of your makeup brushes on the table.
"It was an easier option. Eren and I opened a shop in Brooklyn and he was also accepted into law school." You tell her, tapping on the powdered makeup. You saw her eyebrows contract through the mirror before hearing the bedroom door open to reveal Eren and Armin.
